Mental Exercises That Can Help You Achieve Anything

The definition of success varies wildly depending on who you
ask. My definition and yours might be completely different,
or they may differ because we are simply working on
different things in our lives. You may be working on
quitting smoking, someone else may be trying to lose weight,
I may be preparing for an upcoming speech I'll have to give.

One thing is for sure though, if you want to be 'successful'
you need to get in the right mind-set.

So how do you get yourself mentally prepared to take on a
new challenge?

No matter what you're trying to accomplish, there are 4 easy
exercises that anyone can do to get themselves mentally
prepared for success.

Meditation

Meditation is the practice in which you train your mind to
induce a mode of higher consciousness. In order to do this,
find a quiet place to either sit or lay down, and simply
close your eyes and begin taking deep breaths in and out.
Doing this can help you reduce stress, become aware of
yourself and your environment, help you to ignore
distractions, improve your focus, and even help your
physical well-being.

Re framing

Re framing consists of changing the way we see things and
trying to find alternative ways of viewing ideas, events,
and situations. Re framing is a way of taking negative
thoughts or emotions, and spinning them in a positive way.
Instead of worrying over a past failure, use it as an
opportunity to see where you can improve and grow. Practice
seeing opportunity in failure or shortcomings, and pretty
soon you'll be more optimistic all around.

"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"

Visualization

Visualization is a very popular one amongst athletes,
business people, and entertainers. When you have an event
coming up (Public speaking engagement, job interview,
basketball game) visualize yourself in the process of that
event. Don't focus on the outcome or how you think it will
end up, but simply the process of what you'll be doing and
the different scenarios that could pop up during. If you do
this for everything, you'll feel more prepared to handle
situations when they arise.

Self-Talk

Self talk is the process of repeating positive affirmations
and thoughts to yourself. Things that will help you to
complete your task at hand. There are a couple different
types of self talk that you can use to help yourself achieve
any goal - motivational and instructional.

Motivational self talk could be anything from, "you got
this", "you are good enough", and "you WILL achieve your
goal".

Instructional on the other hand isn't just to pump you up
and make you feel capable and confident. An example of
instructional self talk would be a golfer trying to work on
his swing repeating to himself "bend your knees and keep
your eye on the ball".

If you practice these 4 mental exercises for a while, they
will eventually become second nature. If you can get your
mind set right, you will feel more confident and capable and
will be able to achieve anything you set out to do.

I hope you found this article useful. Share with me how useful
these 4 exercises have been for you.

Have a great day ahead! =)

DOMESTIC CARGO IN INDIA

IndianAgents Push Domestic Agenda
India Agents
The domestic air cargo sector in India is keen to build on the growth it is experiencing. Even as new airlines begin flying —regional carrier Air Pegasus started operations in the last few months and a few more like Hyderabad-based Turbo Megha Airways and Flyeasy from Bengaluru have received the necessary permissions—India is finally receiving the connectivity it has been wanting for a long, long time.
Connectivity Is King
That connectivity, according to the Domestic Air Cargo Agents Association of India (DACAAI), the apex national body of the domestic air cargo agents, will go a long way to boost cargo flow from the interiors of the country and vice-versa.
In fact, air has become a preferred mode of transport for vaccines, medicines, fruits and vegetables, high value electronics, mobile phones, couriers, and the e-commerce sector. Domestic air cargo has been growing faster than international cargo. DACAAI figures point out that domestic air cargo has been growing between 15 and 20 percent year-on-year and during 2013-14 stood at 0.8 mn mt and is 50 percent of international cargo.
That figure is expected to reach 19.7 mn mt by 2022-23 and according to air cargo stakeholders, domestic cargo will surpass international cargo by the year 2030.
Where Is The Growth?
Today, with new airlines coming in, the country will see an increase in the number of aircraft from the 525-plus to 1,000 by 2020. Along with new services, the increase in flight frequencies to Tier-II and III cities will also result in sufficient airlift capacity for domestic cargo.
For its part, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has been preparing to handle the growth in domestic cargo when the Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced the development of common-user domestic cargo and courier terminals in 24 airports around the country.
The AAI Plan
The AAI has chalked out plans to boost the domestic cargo market by utilizing passenger terminals at regional airports that see few passengers.
AAI points out that with the Indian economy opening up, “tremendous growth” had been seen in air cargo movement at airports in the country.
“Tonnages could go up if basic cargo facilities were created in Tier-II cities that could feed gateway airports.
“Hence,” says ACCI, “the creation of common-user domestic cargo and courier terminals at 24 airports after “minor modifications.”

Where Is The Action?
Among those airports where common user facilities were set up or were in the process of establishment are Amritsar, Lucknow, and Varanasi in the north; Ahmedabad, Surat, and Aurangabad in the west; Chennai, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Trichy, Trivandrum, Calicut, Madurai, and Vishakhapatnam in the south; Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Gaya, and Raipur in the east; and Guwahati in the north-east.
The high domestic air cargo tonnages notwithstanding, stakeholders have been raising issues that could retard the growth.
Meetings & Moves
In a recent move, DACAAI members President Suraj Agarwal, General Secretary Amit Bajaj, Secretary General Co.l R. P. Shukla, and Presiding Officer Arvind M. Nayak met the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr. Mahesh Sharma to apprise him about the growth of domestic cargo and the problems the sector was facing.
Speaking to ACNFT, Suraj Agarwal said: “There is a fantastic growth in air cargo. We don’t have proper infrastructure to handle this type of growth. The growth is much higher than the figures are showing but the growth is getting diverted to the other modes of transportation because we are not able to handle this growth properly.”
Highlighting the unplanned and ad hoc infrastructure available for air cargo stakeholders, it was pointed out that apart from the metro airports, airports operated by AAI had provided some facilities but they were not properly planned. At many places, these facilities are non-existent or being provided by individual airlines from their airport/city offices, which are scattered, resulting in waste of time and money, according to the DACAAI members.
Even at the metro airports, the infrastructure was not efficient enough to cater to the present tonnage and growth.
As a result, domestic air cargo handlers and airlines have been utilizing only 25 percent of their capacity.
On average, each aircraft has available capacity of around 2,500 kgs but today is only able to record 600 kgs per departure.
Some Further Study
To achieve efficiency in handling such large tonnages of domestic cargo, DACAAI conducted a study on the need for proper standard centralized domestic cargo facilities that was handed to the MoCA in October last year.
The study had recommended the creation of common terminals in 32 airports—where domestic air cargo has been witnessing rapid growth—in the first phase. “We would like the Ministry to utilize DACAAl’s experience in handling domestic air cargo,” said President Suraj Agarwal.
Consulting DACAAI before issuing policy guidelines could accomplish this.
One of the irksome issues was the multiple charges levied by different airport operators and the establishment of standard facilities, handling, and screening equipment, “so that investments by AAI and JV airports are utilized properly for trade facilitation.” Agarwal also mentioned that “the major hurdle is infrastructure and the cargo warehouses where we accept the cargo are not up to the mark.”
He acknowledged that the Civil Aviation Ministry had taken initiatives “but those are not enough to handle such type of growth.”
Taxing Situation
Forwarders also mentioned the heavy burden of service tax—14 percent—on domestic air cargo. General Secretary Amit Bajaj added that service tax was a major issue that needed to be addressed by the government.
“Service tax charged on air cargo is 14 percent while only 4.2 percent is charged on other modes of transport.
“On international cargo it is 0 percent.
“This heavy taxation inflates the cost of air freight and makes it uncompetitive as compared to train and road.”
He also pointed out the high terminal handling charges: in fact, the charges varied from airport to airport.
“There are charges by terminals on air freight.
“We are looking at the increasing charges that should go down,” Bajaj said.

Other Voices Needed
The trade body also demanded an independent ombudsman who could be approached for grievances, would highlighting issues like service levels by different providers, and sort out bottlenecks in handling domestic air cargo.
“A robust, exclusive, monitoring, consultation and redressal mechanism needs to be put in place.
“We would like the Ministry to give us a separate ombudsman,” said Agarwal.
For his part, Minister Dr. Sharma said that air cargo was one of the top priorities that his ministry was working on.
“We are working on how to increase the cargo business, how to ease this cargo business.
“Even after having everything, our share of cargo is very small just because charges are very high and there is poor infrastructure support.
“We are going to discuss this with the related ministers,” he said. He went on to emphasize: “we are committed towards addressing the problems of air cargo industry in a proper manner,” he said.

GRATITUDE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO

Hi friend,

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kindness that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

Behavioural and psychological research has shown that giving thanks makes people happier and more resilient, it strengthens relationships, it improves health, and it reduces stress.

Know why?
… Because without the state of Gratitude you will not be able to shift your focus from your limiting thoughts to the abundance that is already present in front of you.

But first, a MOVIE for You about
HOW A LITTLE CHILD AND AN ELDERLY MAN AGREE ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GRATITUDE!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

HAPPINESS IS ABOUT CONNECTION AND GRATITUDE

People complain. They're complaining all the time
about everything. As a child, I was innocent enough to
believe what people were saying. I really thought there
were plenty of valid reasons to complain: the weather
(most often), lack of money (runner-up), the neighbours,
husband or wife, the children (me, in this case),
civilization (or the lack of it), bad health, etc. I assumed
the world just turned out to be like this and there was
nothing much we could do. It was called "fate" or something.

The thing to do was to pray. Not to ask for a better life.

No! I learned to pray to ask God to forgive me for my sins.
I was a nice little boy, doing very well at school, polite with
the neighbours, helpful at home, so it was rather difficult to
keep finding sins for our weekly confession.

Growing up, I figured something was missing.
Pretending to be sinful by repeating sins someone
else had cooked up for me, that could not be what
life is about. I refused to further confess sins that I
had not committed. I refused to believe that I was
the cause of my misery, and that I had to pray every
day without things getting better!

When I was 23 I had a wonderful time,
with plenty of sunshine and plenty of money;
circumstances people usually don't complain about,
right?

According to my childhood logic, people only complain
for a reason: lousy weather (too cold, too much rain),
lack of money, etc. But what I discovered over there
seriously opened my eyes! My  friends just went
on complaining: about the weather (too hot), about the
service (5 servants and still they were complaining) or
about how things were too expensive - while they were
earning 5 times as much as before!

I discovered there and then that the complaining was
not based on any objective reasons. I also noticed
that the poor people, who were living in their villages
with close to nothing, were not complaining. I got
interested in this phenomenon: they had nothing
except a big smile on their face, while we had everything
and were still complaining! How could this be?

It became crystal clear to me that the complaints had
nothing to do with the outer circumstances. It was an
attitude, a habit. Next, I wanted to find out where this
habit came from.

So I examined the way of life of the local people and
compared it with our way of life. When I finally came
up with the explanation, it changed my life forever!

There are two important differences between them
and us. The first difference is that they have a social
network to help everyone in the village. They stick together.

They don't push out people who don't fit the norm. In our
society, everybody who is a bit different is sent to an
"institution." An institution is a place to collect those
individuals who cannot follow the fast pace of society
and thus fall out of the boat. Most institutions have
great walls to prevent us from "seeing" that these
people really exist.

They look more like a prison than a shelter.

Who are these people that don't fit in our society,
put away behind walls so we don't have to confront
them? They are the disabled, the diseased, the
dangerous ones, the mentally retarded or disturbed,
those who are too slow (they go to special schools),
too difficult to handle (they go to educational institutions)
and those who are too tired and too old (we put them
in expensive homes).

I figured out that inner loneliness and isolation is one
of the main reasons why we are complaining so much.

The second difference is that all of these people are
connected to something "greater" than themselves.
They have a strong faith in a god who takes care of
them. They spend a lot of time performing rituals to
please their god(s) and get good health and harvest
in return.

I gave these two differences a lot of thought and
concluded that creating social networks of people
and a solid relationship with something bigger than
ourselves, are vitally important fundamentals of
human happiness.

It's all about "connection." Connection to each other.
Connection to the Universe. In the meantime I found
out that good things can happen only when we stay
connected to each other and to the Universe. I started
studying the Laws of the Universe and spent a lot
of energy helping people establish a connection to
each other and to the Universe. In fact, this became
the very purpose of my life.

Many people think they are alone, without help, and
have to do everything by themselves. This is not the
case. You are guided, you are loved by Something
Greater than your little personality. Try to feel this
connection.

Take time everyday to connect to the Source.
Create a real connection between yourself, the
Universe and people around you, without being
overly dependent on others. You will never feel
alone again and you will be able to spread a lot
more love around.

Living this kind of "connected life" will make you
forget about your former complaints. What's there to
complain about? Your complaints will be replaced by
 gratitude!

Say "thank you" to the Universe for all the things you
already have, and for all the wonders that may still
cross your path. Express your sincere gratitude for
all the love you have received and will keep receiving
throughout your life. Be grateful for the clean water
coming out of the tap by a simple gesture of your hand,
while many people spend six hours every day to get a
little bit of water, and others die of thirst.

Be grateful for the light you switch on with a simple
flick. Large parts of the world have to do without electric
power!

Say "thank you" for the variety of food that is available to
you every day - a lot of people have to get by on one
scarce meal a day, or are simply starving.

It's all in the mind. Gratitude and happiness are an
attitude, a state of being. It has nothing to do with
circumstances.

The attitude is gratitude.=)

Tips to Better Your Brain Performance

It may be true that as you get older, your memory also deteriorates. But this does not mean that if you are younger, your brain is not capable of memory deterioration. Ageing is just one cause of memory loss, but there are other factors. Thus, if you want to prevent this, you may want to read these tips to better your brain performance.

1) More Relaxation Period, Better Thinking

If you want to protect your recent memories, you should stay away from stress. Stress can trigger the release of cortisol, a neuro drug which can interfere with the brain’s performance, especially with handling recent memories. Furthermore, with chronic stress, the part of the brain which handles recent memories may even shrink. If you want to prevent this from happening, you should learn to relax a little and release the tension from your body. You should never let stress overwhelm you.

2) Refrain From Cigarette Smoking

Cigarettes affect the flow of blood in your veins. Because of this, there may be a chance of reduced blood flow to your brain; and reduced blood flow means reduced oxygen. With lesser oxygen to consume, the brain may not function well as expected, hence the memory may be prejudiced.

3) Stay Away from Brain Toxins

As you may know, illegal drugs may cause harm to your brain’s functioning. However, you should also know that prescription drugs, if misused, may also have the same toxic effect to your brain. Thus, you should always follow the prescription given to you be your doctor, and never self-medicate. This may affect your brain’s normal performance. Prolonged use of drugs may cause memory loss.

4) Eat Healthy

Your brain functions according to the nutrients that it receives from the food that you eat. Thus, if you are deprived of certain nutrients, then it may have an adverse effect on the functioning of your brain. You most certainly would not want this to happen. Thus, as prevention, you should eat a healthy and balanced diet so that you will absorb all the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. Also, you should stay away from junk foods.

5) Exercise Your Brain

Find ways to use and improve your thinking skills. Some mentalists propose techniques which are designed to improve mental skills. We all have the potential to possess a good functioning memory, thus it should be something that we can all improve. All we have to do is to find ways and try techniques that can effectively help us develop our potentials.

Most people believe that by engaging themselves into educational activities, they are improving their mental faculties. This is true, and you can try this even at home. Simple activities like crossword puzzles can exercise your brain. This may help your brain functioning to get better, if not, to prevent it from deteriorating easily.

6) Shield Your Brain

There is no point of improving the brain if you cannot protect it physically. You should always protect your head from injuries because trauma may affect the functioning of your brain. Even simple injuries should be avoided, because repeated minor injuries, if accumulated, may cause damage to your brain. Thus, you should try simple prevention, like putting helmets when bicycling, in order for you to avoid situations that may damage your brain functioning.

If you want to be able to think better, your brain’s health is the key. Thus, you should keep it as healthy as possible and avoid all those factors which may expose you to mental deterioration.

NEURO VECTOR TECHNOLOGY

neuroVector™ TECHNOLOGY IS A FUNDAMENTALLY NEW AND SCIENTIFICALLY ADVANCED SYSTEM THAT IS SIMPLY BEYOND COMPARISON!

Finally we have the elusive remedy for your self-limiting thoughts and behaviours.
Our advanced neuroVector™ audio technology will eliminate the self-defeating mental and emotional states to which you have become compulsively and physiologically dependent on.
This new and revolutionary technology will lead you to personal liberation and spiritual growth beyond your imagination.
Our advanced neuroVector™ technology has been tested extensively and found to work for everybody, in fact, we guarantee it will positively change your life in ways that will absolutely astound you.
By using our revolutionary neuroVector™ Brainwave Synchronization audio technology as instructed, you will affect long-lasting and profound changes in the structure and function of your nervous system.

You have probably watched "The Secret" DVD, "What the bleep do we know?" read self help books, and practiced daily affirmations. But you are still searching. Nothing can change your thoughts and behaviour for longer than a few days or weeks.
So what is wrong with you? Why it is so hard to align your thoughts and feelings with information suggesting that a simple shift of your expectations can create the experiences we all want in our lives? Even when you consciously believe this information to be factual and correct.
The information that you tried to apply in your life is correct. We can do more, be more, and enjoy more simply by changing our minds. This is evident in so many biographies and in countless accounts of ordinary people who achieved the seemingly impossible.
The reason why not you (yet), is because all the evidence presented to you and all of the methods suggested are incomplete and therefore flawed.
The flaw in conveying the ideas and methods that helped the authors to change their lives is due to the fact that when we remember an event with a positive attitude, we are biased to recall only it's more positive aspects and most relevant milestones.
Our present feelings and ideas are erroneously infused with memories of the actual past events creating an illusion of ease and simplicity that doesn't represent the actual experience.
It is hard even to do things that we thought we had easily accomplished before. This is because we expect the task to feel as easy as we now remember it. Our brain stores all our memories, including the joys and pain associated with them, but in recalling these memories we only get access to parts of them that are congruent with our present mood and motives.

With the neuroVector™ technology, we have created a practical and effective way to shorten the arduous and complex journey in acquiring the winning mental state of remarkable people effortlessly.
While using the audio technology developed by neuroVector™, electrical activity in your brain aligns with the recorded brain activities of people who spent decades conditioning their minds to achieve a higher state of consciousness.

"Negative memories and thoughts feed on each other in a loop. While in this negative emotional state, any positive aspect of a memory or thought loses significance and becomes harder to access or contemplate.

In most individuals brain activities remain confined to certain areas of the brain that is characteristic of the self-defeating mental and emotional states to which they have become compulsively and physiologically dependent on.
By using the neuroVector™ technology, your brain's electric activity (brainwave) becomes widespread throughout the brain, creating new neural pathways which stimulate new thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
The formation of new neural pathways is shown in brain imaging studies and allow for faster communication between neurons in the brain. This increase brain activity equates to more "processing power" in the brain (increased IQ).

Our proprietary neuroVector™ audio technology is the most powerful and effective way to change your thought patterns — more powerful than the traditional binaural beat recordings that inspired the research and development of this new and revolutionary technology.
Masters of meditation and yoga, great artists, inventors and highly accomplished people in many walks of life share a common pattern of brainwaves.

They have learned to develop and live at a higher state of consciousness by creating or opening new nerve pathway that greatly increase their ability to access a complete mental representations of an idea, thought, or emotion.
This state-of-the-art neuroVector™ audio technology is a technological leap. We can now record and reproduce the neurological functioning in the brain of extraordinary people.
For decades we have been frustrated in trying to re-create the highly complex mental states of exceptional individuals, until we perfected a way to record these states directly from the brain of these people.
We have created digital representations of high mental states in all of their complexities with our own highly advanced binaural beat technology system.
The problem with the traditional binaural beat sound files is due to the fact that, a brain state is a complex mix of different wave patterns of variable amplitudes. Therefore, binaural beats in the Alpha waves ranging from 8 Hz to 12 Hz intended to induce a relaxed state, is not a complete representation of the complex wave pattern of a relaxed individual.

neuroVector™ audio technology synchronizes the listener's brainwave activity to the recorded patterns of these individuals, taking the listener to higher states of consciousness within minutes, and with prolong use, these higher states of functioning become long-lasting.
Our extensive MEG/brainwave tests provide clear and objective evidence to the speed and effectiveness of our new technology when compared to traditional binaural products.

neuroVector™ allows you to be immersed in and experience the mind of a genius, some one with exceptional intellectual ability, dazzlingly skilled and exceptionally creative.
Individual candidates for these recording are chosen for their highly developed abilities and performance.
Recordings are made with the help of brain imaging technology under laboratory conditions. The candidates being recorded are asked to relax and remember experiences of peak performance.
neuroVector™ will expand the capacity of your brain and allow you to focus your entire brain power on any chosen task and experience extraordinary levels of performance and productivity.
neuroVector™ is a breakthrough audio technology that is based on decades of pioneering research, it will help you reproduce these widespread brainwave patterns faster so that you can directly experience the enormous benefits of higher states of consciousness and increased mental functioning.
These audio files help you relax more, sleep better, and deal with the problems of living more effectively. If you listen to them as suggested in our guide, you can come up with solutions to problems more easily, be more confident in all your purposeful undertakings and experience real joy immediately, while you train your mind.

Automatic Writing to Release Fear

Automatic writing provides a wonderful window for viewing and processing beliefs held in the subconscious part of our minds.  It allows us to bypass our conscious narrow view of the world and our beliefs about our place within it.  The following paragraphs give you a glimpse of how my friend has used this technique to Release his Fear.
It was September 11, 2001 and I had just found out that the World Trade Centres had been destroyed.  Though no longer living within view of the towers, my family still lived close and I had spent many hours within the towers, working as a Chase Manhattan Bank Teller during summers while in college.
The news shook me to the core.  Though not on the front lines, within hours I sunk into a state of almost constant fear.  I hid when I heard a car backfire.  I feared that my water was poisoned and I was constantly looking over my shoulder, waiting for the next bomb to drop.
And then I took up paper and pen and I began to write.  I wrote and wrote without censor and without stopping.  I turned off the television and I wrote some more.  I went to work and in spare moments I wrote.  I took care of my two babies and I wrote.
In a period of about 36 hours I filled two notebooks with this automatic writing.  I did not censor and I did not reread.  I just poured it onto the paper.  My fears, my hopes, my thoughts and my feelings.  Sometimes I wrote fast and sometimes slow.  Sometimes the words were so big they covered three lines and at other times they were so small they were hard to see.
And then, almost without warning, it was done.  I had gotten it all out and it was gone.  Not only was the fear gone, it was replaced with the most splendid sense of peace and connection.  I knew, and I knew that, all was well and that we were all safe and somehow connected.  For about three days I floated through my day, loving life and everyone I met.  I could see the Divine in everyone and everything and it was wonderful.
Slowly the euphoria left, but the inner knowing that life is not at all what it seems has not.  I have never since that day fallen into a fear state that comes close to what I experienced for those few hours after the Trade Centres went down.  And the experience of connection and peace that follows has been enough to keep me motivated and driven to learn how to step into that state at will, and to teach others how to do the same.
So, the next time fear strikes, pick up the pen and begin your own automatic writing.  You will be glad you did.
As narrated by Christie.
