Israel plans to hit Iran ‘clearly and forcefully,’ preparing warplanes: report

 

Israel announced that it was planning a "clear and strong" attack on Iran following the missile and drone attack on Saturday, April 13.

The decision comes as Israeli leaders plan how to respond to Saturday's attack after two war conferences. Israeli News Channel 12 aired the report. Although there was no timetable in the report, it was stated that the Israeli air force, including US-made F-16, F-15 and F-35 warplanes, was ready for the attack.

What does it say on the map? The report stated that the attack would send the message that Israel "will not allow an attack of this magnitude to go unanswered." However, Israeli leaders do not want the protests to turn into a bigger war.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden and his friends told Israel that it should act with restraint. He also told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States would not support the attack.

On Monday, April 15, the commander-in-chief of the Israeli army, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, said that Iran's actions "will be met with a response." However, he did not specify when it would happen.

Israel has previously warned that the conflict with Iran is "not over". He even promised to get the "right price" after Tehran sent 330 drones and missiles overnight. According to The Independent, Israeli Minister Benny Gantz said, "We will create a regional unity to fight the Iranian threat and demand the price in a way and at a time that suits us." On the other hand, Iran threatened to launch more attacks against Israel if Israel retaliated. Tehran has also warned the United States against supporting the uprising and threatened to target American forces in Syria, Jordan and Iraq.

Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody extended till April 23

 

A court in Delhi on Monday extended the hearing in Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's GST law case till April 23.

Kejriwal appeared in court through a virtual conference. The court noted that the hearing of the defendant K Kavitha was also extended until April 23. The contract is over. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on the evening of March 21 after the Supreme Court refused to grant him immunity from prosecution by the central agency.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court sought a response from the ED on Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest. A bench comprising Supreme Court Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta asked the education ministry to file a response by April 24 and said it would take up the matter within a week from April 29.

A court rejected the petition of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, who challenged his arrest by the ED and later petitioned the government agency.

The case involves allegations of corruption and money laundering by the Delhi government in the formulation and implementation of the 2021-22 GST policy, which was later withdrawn.

Kejriwal is the first president to be arrested. His other colleagues Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain were also involved in the same case. Earlier this month, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh walked out of Tihar jail after being granted bail from the Supreme Court.
