Israel escalates airstrikes, targets south Beirut; over 400 Hezbollah militants eliminated to date

The Israeli armed forces reported the elimination of over 400 Hezbollah combatants following the commencement of ground maneuvers in southern Lebanon. "Since the commencement of the ground operation, our forces have successfully neutralized approximately 440 terrorists through ground and aerial operations, which includes the elimination of 30 commanders of different hierarchies," Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Israeli military spokesman, stated during a televised briefing.
Amid the continued airstrikes, the Israeli army has reiterated its call for residents to evacuate from the southern suburbs of Beirut." The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported the dismantling of a 250-meter terrorist tunnel in southern Lebanon on Saturday. Per the Israeli military, the tunnel was intended for use in an invasion of Israel by Hezbollah's Radwan Forces. Israel is currently at a heightened state of readiness in anticipation of the anniversary of Hamas's October 7 attack, which resulted in the deaths of at least 1,200 Israelis and sparked a significant conflict.
