Biden says he will stop sending bombs and artillery shells to Israel if it launches major invasion of Rafah

President Joe Biden said for the first time on Wednesday that the United States would freeze some arms shipments to Israel if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu orders a major crackdown on the city of Rafah. It is accepted that these weapons were used to kill civilians in Gaza.

"These bombs and other methods of attacking civilian areas are killing civilians in Gaza," Biden told CNN's Erin Burnett in an exclusive interview addressed to 2,000 people on "Erin Burnett OutFront." Biden halted last week's shipment in a bombshell.

"I made it clear that if they enter Rafah - they haven't entered Rafah yet - if they enter Rafah, I will not give the equipment used against Rafah, against the city, to solve this problem." said Bai Den.

The President announced that he plans to stop the use of weapons in the United States by mobilizing Israel to reverse the seven-month conflict between the Israeli people and Hamas. He openly acknowledged the US role in the war, admitting that US bombs were used to kill civilians in Gaza.

During the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the president faces pressure, including from his own members, to stop sending weapons.

The current president has opposed these calls and supports Israeli efforts to kill Hamas. But the looming occupation of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians have been displaced, appears to have changed the president's thinking. Biden said, "We are not giving up Israel's security. We are giving up Israel's ability to wage war in these regions." said.

Biden said the United States will continue to supply Israel with defensive weapons, including the Iron Dome air defense system, but other deliveries will be halted if a large-scale offensive on the ground begins in Rafah.

"We will continue to increase Israel's security in the Iron Dome and its ability to respond to recent attacks from the Middle East," he said. "But the truth is, this is not true. We will not give weapons and big guns to the people there. The Pentagon announced that "high-fire bombs" were sent, but the Pentagon stated that it has not yet made a final decision on the delivery, and that it is investigating the possibility of selling or replacing other ammunition.

"No Fundamental Right To Campaign": ED Opposes Interim Bail For Arvind Kejriwal

With the Supreme Court set to decide on interim bail for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday to allow him to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the Enforcement Directorate has filed an affidavit opposing his petition and said that laws are equal for all and that campaigning is not a fundamental, constitutional or even a legal right.

The probe agency, which arrested the AAP chief in the liquor policy case on March 21, has also pointed out that no political leader has ever been granted bail for campaigning and said that letting Mr Kejriwal out of jail to canvas for his party candidates would set a wrong precedent. In its affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) pointed out that, while hearing the bail plea of former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia - a co-accused in the case - the court had said that the laws apply equally to all citizens and institutions, including the State.

Stating that Mr Kejriwal had sought interim bail primarily for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections, the agency submitted, "It is relevant to note that the right to campaign is neither a fundamental right nor a constitutional right and not even a legal right."

The agency has argued that 123 elections have taken place in the past five years and if interim bail is granted for campaigning, then no politician can be kept in judicial custody since polls take place around the year.

Repeating an argument it had made during the last hearing, the ED said that campaigning is part of a politician's job and, following the rule of equality, small farmers or small traders can also seek interim bail to carry out the demands of their work. He also added that Mr. Kejriwal is yet to contest the regular elections.

Mr. Kejriwal, Delhi's chief minister-elect, has not committed a recidivism, the Supreme Court said during the hearing on Tuesday. A bench comprising justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta said: "There is a choice... this is a special case and he is not a criminal."

In the "World Migration Report 2024" published on Tuesday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced that the top five countries that received the most money that year were India, Mexico, China, the Philippines and France. The 2024 World Migration Report published by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) shows that India came out on top in terms of remittances, receiving more than $111 billion in 2022. This staggering figure not only solidifies India's position as the world's largest recipient of remittances, but also marks the first time any country has crossed the $100 billion milestone.

South Asia, especially India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, is important for large remittances. This region is known for its large population of migrant workers and is consistently among the largest recipients of international exports. In 2022, Pakistan and Bangladesh ranked sixth and eighth, with Pakistan receiving about $30 billion and Bangladesh about $21.5 billion. Chapter

What is Remittance?

Remittances are money or direct transfers from immigrants to families or communities in their home countries.

The World Bank maintains records of international remittances worldwide. However, their information is not available without being recorded under the rules or informally, so the size of international exports may be larger than current estimates.

These transfers have grown significantly in recent years and are now an important source of foreign exchange earnings for many developing countries.

The biennial report shows that international remittances will reach $831 billion in 2022, of which low- and middle-income countries will receive $647 billion.

Gulpatwant Singh Pannu case: Russia backs India

Gulpatwant Singh Pannu case: Russia backs India, says US has filed a petition against Khalistani terrorist Gurpat for 'trying to make elections difficult' Gurpat Washington has objected to the murder allegation against Vant Singh Pannu, citing lack of evidence.

According to news agency ANI, the Russian Foreign Ministry made a statement on the Pannu case on Wednesday.

Talking about this issue is speculative." Without evidence, this was "disrespectful to India as a country", she added.

"The United States often accuses New Delhi of violating religious freedom (we consider these inappropriate not only for India, but also for many countries), which shows that the United States does not understand the concept of the country, Indian history. Air India Express Fires 30 Over Mass Sick Leave, Gives Ultimatum To Others

Air India Express has laid off at least 30 workers, a day after nearly 300 workers disrupted flights by calling in sick and turning off their phones. The number of layoffs will increase. Sources said that the management has given an ultimatum to the workers to report to work by 4 pm today, otherwise they will face action.

A total of 74 flights were canceled today as stone strikes caused a full-blown crisis for the low-cost airline.

Sources said workers were protesting the new employment conditions. Sources said workers claimed there was a lack of equality in the treatment of workers. Sources claimed that some employees were offered lower-level positions despite being interviewed for senior positions. The crew also changed some pay packages. These developments come despite the airline's merger with AIX Connect (formerly AirAsia India).

The Air India Express crisis has become a fresh headache for the Tata Group, just a month after its flagship Vistara suffered service cuts as pilots protested over a range of issues, including changes in flying hours and pay.

Air India Express said in a statement that it was "doing everything to minimize inconvenience to passengers due to unforeseen circumstances." "We will operate 292 flights today. We have prepared all services and Air India will operate 20 routes to support us. However, 74 of our flights have been canceled and we request our passengers to check whether their flights are normal or not.

"We will continue to work with our crew and are committed to resolving any issues, but we are making this necessary for some individuals whose actions have had a significant impact on thousands of passengers," he added.

The dismissal letter sent to more than 30 employees stated that mass layoffs were "clearly a prejudiced idea and negotiations cannot be carried out without reasonable cause."

"Many flights have been canceled due to the above reasons, and this affects the entire flight schedule, damaging the reputation of our passengers and causing serious damage to our company.
