According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu told local community leaders that "Israel will not tolerate this brutal attack and Hezbollah will pay a heavy price that it has never paid before."
In addition, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that Netanyahu has decided to return "as soon as possible" from the United States, where he met with President Joe Biden earlier this week and addressed the U.S. Congress.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has promised to prepare a "counterattack" against Hezbollah.

But Lebanon-based Hezbollah denied it was behind the deadly attack.
The militant group said its military wing, the Islamic Resistance Movement, "had nothing to do with the incident."
The rocket attack came after an Israeli military strike killed four Hezbollah militants in the southern Lebanese village of Kfar Kila, triggering retaliatory attacks by the group, which has been engaged in near-daily gun battles with Israeli forces since the start of the Gaza war.
