The name of a man born in Kerala has been implicated in the Pager Blasts case. Investigation Discoveries

Rinson Jose, a native of Wayanad, Kerala, migrated to Norway for academic purposes and has subsequently acquired Norwegian citizenship.

The investigation into the pager bombings targeting Hezbollah operatives, resulting in 12 fatalities and numerous injuries in Lebanon, has identified the presence of an Indian immigrant in Norway. Now a citizen of Norway, Rinson Jose relocated from Wayanad in Kerala. Initial reports indicated that a company belonging to the 37-year-old in Bulgaria was linked to the distribution of the pagers to the militant group. 

Initial inquiries disclosed that the pagers, allegedly altered by Mossad to conceal three grams of explosives in each unit, were produced by Gold Apollo, a company based in Taiwan. The company stated that the pager model, AR-924, involved in the explosion, was produced and distributed by BAC Consulting KFT in Budapest, Hungary. BAC Consulting KFT had obtained authorization to use the company's trademark. On Thursday, two days following the activation of the pagers, the Bulgarian state security agency DANS announced its collaboration with the country's interior ministry to investigate the involvement of a company, identified as Norta Global Ltd. The company, established in Sofia in 2022, was discovered to be under the ownership of a Norwegian individual named Rinson Jose. A day later, on Friday, DANS stated that the pagers involved in the Lebanon explosions were not sourced from Bulgaria through import, export, or production. "After verifications, it has been conclusively determined that Bulgaria did not import, export, or manufacture any communication equipment similar to those involved in the explosion on September 17," reported the agency to news agency AFP. The agency further stated that neither the company nor its owner engaged in any transactions related to the sale or purchase of the items in question, nor were they involved in any activities falling under laws on terrorism financing. In response to the information, police in Oslo, Norway, have launched a preliminary investigation. A report by news agency IANS indicated that Jose traveled to Norway for higher education several years ago." He had a brief stint in London before returning to Oslo. His LinkedIn profile indicates that he has nearly five years of experience in digital customer support at Norwegian press group DN Media, as reported by AFP. DN Media informed Verdens Gang that one of their employees has been on an international business trip since Tuesday and has not been reachable.

According to relatives interviewed by IANS, Jose resides with his spouse in Oslo and has a twin sibling residing in London. "We communicate regularly via telephone." Nonetheless, we have not been able to establish communication with Jose for the past three days. He is an individual of integrity and we have complete confidence in him. He is not involved in any misconduct. "According to Thankachen, a relative of the 37-year-old, he could have been caught in the explosions," stated the news agency on Friday. He mentioned that contacting Jose's spouse has also been unsuccessful.
