Prime Minister to Speak to Large Indian Community Gathering in U.S. Today

Quad Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significance of the four Quad partners uniting with shared democratic values amid global tensions and conflicts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the Indian diaspora at Nassau Coliseum in New York today. Earlier in the day, he participated in the Quad Summit, presenting India's perspectives and pledges towards global advancement, prosperity, stability, and defense. Here is a concise overview of the key points related to this important event. Prime Minister Modi has also engaged with various members of the Indian diaspora. Upon arriving at Hotel Lotte Palace in New York, the diaspora members welcomed him with a dance performance to an Indian folk song, chanting "Modi! Modi!" They proclaimed that he has ushered in a new golden age for India. Modi is a great leader. "This is a moment of great historical significance for us to savor," expressed a member of the diaspora.

An individual from the Indian community, whose painting was signed by PM Modi, informed news agency ANI, "I had the opportunity to meet the PM today." It was a highly satisfying experience. Yesterday, Prime Minister Modi held three separate bilateral meetings with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and US President Joe Biden.

During the Quad Leadership Summit and related events, Prime Minister Modi emphasized India's strategy of collaboration, dialogue, and interaction for advancement with various partners in the Indo-Pacific, as conveyed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to journalists in New York.

A notable aspect of the meeting with the US was the repatriation of 297 antiquities to India, some of which were exhibited at Mr. Biden's residence during the bilateral talks.

"The Prime Minister eloquently referenced the Quad today," she stated. He coined the term Quick Unified Assistance Delivery (QUAD). Mr. Misri stated that the other members of the Quad now grasp the significance and principles of the group. PM Modi noted the importance of the four Quad partners uniting in light of global tensions and conflicts, emphasizing their shared democratic values for the betterment of humanity. He stated that the Quad's presence would persist in order to support, collaborate with, and augment the initiatives of Indo-Pacific nations.

One of the key revelations from the meeting was the Quad Cancer Moonshot, a pioneering collaboration focused on tackling the obstacles presented by cancer, specifically cervical cancer.

Various regional and global issues were deliberated upon, including the imperative for reform of the multilateral governance system, including the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
