Moving ahead with the Global Combat Air Program (GCAP), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) of Japan has introduced conceptual designs for Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) to be utilized alongside Japan's upcoming fighter jet.

Within the framework of GCAP, Japan, Italy, and the UK are collaborating on a next-generation fighter aircraft. MHI serves as the primary system integrator for the GCAP in collaboration with BAE Systems and Leonardo, representatives from the United Kingdom and Italy, respectively. The proposed combat air system will feature a manned fighter aircraft supported by unmanned "adjuncts," including drones, advanced sensors, and interconnected data systems powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The concept designs, a product of MHI's AI-driven Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) concept, were revealed by the contractor at the International Aerospace Exhibition 2024 hosted at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake. MHI introduced two distinct models: an 'expendable ISR variant' and a 'tactical combat variant.' For the first time, MHI showcased a life-size mock-up of the 'ARMDC-20X,' a disposable platform developed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) purposes. This variant is tasked with detecting, identifying, and relaying threats to the crewed next-generation aircraft. At the exhibition, MHI showcased a 1:10-scale model of a tactical combat CCA with an internal payload compartment. The unveiling of these loyal wingman drones highlights the increasing interest in the concept of manned-unmanned teaming between fighter jets and autonomous aircraft. While the development of AI-driven unmanned systems is still early, Mitsubishi's video presentation at the event offered a glimpse into the concept.

After death of Yahya Sinwar, Drone attack by Hezbollah at Benjamin Netanyahu's residence

Following the death of Yahya Sinwar, a drone targeted Benjamin Netanyahu's residence. The Israeli Prime Minister was not present during the attack, and no casualties were reported. The incident occurred in the town of Caesarea, shortly after the assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Netanyahu's spokesperson confirmed the safety of Netanyahu and the lack of casualties in the drone attack on his residence.

A UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was deployed towards the residence of the prime minister in Caesarea. The statement from the prime minister's office confirmed that the prime minister and his wife were not present at the site, and no injuries occurred in the incident. The Israeli military previously stated that a drone originating from Lebanon had targeted and struck a building.

The military, as reported by Reuters, intercepted two additional drones that entered Israeli territory. The drone attack, which has not been attributed to Hezbollah or any other militant group, comes amid ongoing exchanges of fire between Israel and Hezbollah since last October. Israel is currently engaged in a conflict with Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, in Lebanon. Rocket fire had been traded by both parties following the October 7 incident.

Israel deployed troops into Lebanon recently. The drone strike occurred after Israel announced the destruction of Hezbollah's regional command center in an air raid. Since late September, a minimum of 1,418 individuals have lost their lives in Lebanon due to the ongoing conflict, as reported by AFP based on data from the Lebanese health ministry. It is probable that the actual number of casualties is greater. Additionally, Lebanese officials confirmed that two individuals were fatally injured in an Israeli attack in Jounieh on Saturday, marking the first strike in the region since the exchange of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel began last year.

The Ministry of Health reported that a car in Jounieh was struck by an attack from an unidentified source, as indicated by Lebanese state media. The incident took place on a critical highway connecting the capital to the northern regions of the country. The three-way conflict in the Middle East is expected to escalate following the death of Sinwar in a military operation conducted by Israel in southern Gaza. Sinwar became the leader of Hamas following the death of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. He orchestrated the October 7 attacks, resulting in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and the capture of 250 hostages in Gaza.

India has included Canadian border police official Sandeep Singh Sidhu on its list of fugitive terrorists

India has included Canadian border police official Sandeep Singh Sidhu on its list of fugitive terrorists amidst escalating diplomatic tensions over the death of Khalistani militant Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Reports indicate that India has identified Sandeep Singh Sidhu, an official with the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), as a wanted terrorist for deportation. This development follows a notable diplomatic disagreement between India and Canada under the leadership of Justin Trudeau concerning the alleged killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, as reported by Hindustan Times.

This incident occurred shortly after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police made public statements accusing Indian diplomats of targeting Sikh separatists within Canada. It was claimed that Indian diplomats were sharing intelligence on Sikh separatists with their government. Canadian officials implied that Indian officials were linked to the violence and crimes against Canadian citizens after receiving information from high-ranking Indian officials. The Canadian authorities accused high-ranking Indian officials of collaborating with organized crime groups in India. Rejecting these allegations as baseless, the Indian foreign ministry announced the expulsion of Canada's acting high commissioner and five other diplomats in retaliation.

Media reports have alleged that Sandeep Singh Sidhu is implicated in promoting terrorist activities in Punjab. Sandeep Singh Sidhu is under scrutiny due to his affiliation with the prohibited International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) as well as his employment with the CBSA. Additionally, there are claims linking Sandeep Singh Sidhu to Pakistan-based Khalistan terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode and other ISI agents. He is believed to have been involved in the assassination of Balwinder Singh Sandhu in 2020. As per a report from Times Now, Sandeep Singh Sidhu, an official from CBSA, was recently promoted to the position of superintendent.

During the period of insurgency in Punjab, Balwinder Singh Sandhu emerged as a symbol of resistance for his actions against Khalistani militants. The individual awarded the Shaurya Chakra was recognized for his stance against Khalistan referendums organized by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) in the United States and Canada.

Chilling details have emerged from the autopsy of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar

Chilling details have emerged from the autopsy of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar

Chilling details have emerged from the autopsy of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, including skull damage and severed fingers. The information came to light following his death in an intelligence-driven operation in southern Gaza on October 17. CNN, the US broadcaster, stated that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers amputated Sinwar's fingers as a means of verifying the death of the Hamas leader.

The IDF allegedly removed Sinwar's fingers to obtain DNA for identification purposes, comparing it to records from his previous incarceration in Israel for twenty years before his release in a 2011 prisoner exchange. Chen Kugel, the chief pathologist at the Israel National Center of Forensic Medicine, detailed the methods used to verify the identity of the deceased as Sinwar. CNN reported Kugel's statement, which mentioned, "After the laboratory created the profile, we compared it to the profile Sinwar had when he was a prisoner, enabling us to identify him through his DNA."

The pathologist explained that they initially tried to identify him using dental records without success. Kugel confidently confirmed that Sinwar died from a gunshot wound to the head, despite being struck by a tank shell. The IDF had targeted the hideout with a tank round in an attempt to eliminate the suspected presence of the Hamas leader. Subsequently, to verify casualties, a drone was deployed into the damaged building, followed by troops.

Videos and images shared by the IDF highlight a portion of Sinwar's skull missing, supporting Kugel's analysis that the Hamas leader succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. What comes next? Despite Hamas' commitment to ongoing conflict with Israel, there is speculation that Sinwar's brother, Mohammad Sinwar, could assume a more prominent position within the militant organization.
