The Chinese-owned application expressed gratitude to Mr. Trump for "offering the essential clarity and assurance," just hours after it had to cease operations in the US due to the ban mandated by the Biden administration. 

"In coordination with our service providers, TikTok is currently in the process of reestablishing service," the Bytedance-operated application stated in an initial announcement, while also expressing thanks to the President-elect of the US. 

"We appreciate President Trump for giving the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will not encounter penalties for supplying TikTok to over 170 million Americans, which also supports more than 7 million small businesses. This demonstrates a strong commitment to the First Amendment and opposes arbitrary censorship. We look forward to collaborating with President Trump on a permanent solution to keep TikTok operating in the United States," the post conveyed. 

In a separate communication to its users, TikTok remarked, "Thanks to President Trump's initiatives, TikTok has returned to the US." 

The accolades for the Republican leader came after Trump announced on his Truth Social account that he plans to issue an executive order once he assumes the role of the 47th President of the US, aimed at delaying the implementation of the TikTok ban for 90 days. 

He stated he would "prolong the timeframe before the law's restrictions take effect to negotiate a deal that safeguards our national security."
