What does the Impact Player rule say?
According to the concept, each team needs to name a playing XI and five substitute fielders at the time of the toss. Teams can select one player from the pool as a stopper. Teams may use this rule only once during the game, but may choose not to use it.
According to the rules published in 2023, it is stated that the players involved are only Indian unless there are less than 4 foreign players in the partnership. At the same time, foreign players can only work towards impressing players if there are few foreign players in the starting team. Only foreign players from the 5 leagues on the list can be used as players. If a team introduces a foreign player as a substitute, the fifth foreign player cannot play at all.
