Nuclear Warning from Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir in the United States

"We Will Bring Down Half the World Along With Us": Nuclear Warning from Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir in the United States

The General from Pakistan also warned that any infrastructure projects India constructs on the Indus water routes would face destructionasserting that his nation has an abundance of missiles.
Washington:
Asim Munir, the head of Pakistan's Army, issued a stark warning regarding a "nuclear conflict" from U.S. territory. Speaking at an event in Tampa, Floridathe military leader stated that if Pakistan were to encounter a significant threat in a potential conflict with India, he would take down "half the world" with them.

"We are a nuclear state. If we believe we are going to face defeat, we will take half the world with us," he reportedly declared.

These comments mark the first documented instance of nuclear threats being made from American soil aimed at another nation. They were allegedly expressed during a dinner hosted by businessman Adnan Asad, who serves as the honorary consul in Tampa.

Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty:
The General from Pakistan also insinuated he would demolish any infrastructures India establishes on the Indus water routes—elements that could restrict water access to Pakistan—claiming his nation is well-equipped with missiles. Munir asserted that India’choice to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty following the Pahalgam terror incident in April could jeopardize the lives of 250 million individuals facing starvation.

"We are waiting for India to construct a dam, and when it does, we will obliterate it with ten missiles... The Indus River does not belong to the Indians. We are not short on missiles, praise God," Munir reportedly stated.

The Pakistani Army Chief is on his second trip to the U.S. in a span of two months. During his previous visit, he attended a luncheon at the White House hosted by President Trump on June 18. While there, he suggested that the U.S. President should be considered for a Nobel Prize for his alleged efforts towards peace—recommendation he reiterated at the gathering in Florida.

Was asked to apprehend Mohan Bhagwat in Malegaon blast case, claims ex-ATS official

A former police official who was part of the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) that probed the 2008 Malegaon blast case claimed on Thursday that he had been asked to apprehend RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. The objective behind the order was to establish that there was "saffron terror", alleged retired inspector Mehiboob Mujawar, reacting to the trial court's verdict acquitting all seven accused including former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur.

The court's ruling undid the "fake things" done by the ATS, he said, speaking at Solapur. Notably, while the ATS probed the case initially, it was later taken over by the National Investigation Agency. "The verdict exposed the fake investigation done by a fake officer," Mujawar further said, naming a senior official.

Indian, Philippine Navies to Hold First South China Sea Joint Patrol

Indian, Philippine Navies to Hold First South China Sea Joint Patrol

India’s latest operational deployment to the South China Sea will feature its first joint patrol with the Philippines in the contested waters.

India’s’s Eastern Fleet flotilla, which includes guided-missile destroyer INS Mysore (D 60), anti-submarine corvette INS Kiltan (D 30) and replenishment vessel INS Shakti (A 57), docked at the Port of Manila today for goodwill activities ahead of the maritime cooperative activity. While Indian warships have previously visited the Philippines, their arrival comes amid New Delhi’s increased support for Manila’s military modernization efforts and the South China Sea.

“After the port visit, a Maritime Cooperative Activity will be conducted to further strengthen the robust maritime relationship between the Philippine Navy and the Indian Navy,” Philippine Navy Capt. John Alcos told USNI News

Alcos deferred operational details of the South China Sea joint patrol to the Armed Forces of the Philippines

While both nations have conducted numerous drills in the South China Sea, this will be the first time India participates in a maritime cooperative activity with Philippine forces. Compared to previous navy-to-navy engagements, such as joint sails, passing exercises and maritime partnership exercises, the maritime cooperative activity tackles force interoperability and demonstrates support for the Philippines amid its struggle with China. The Armed Forces of the Philippines in a news release described the maritime cooperative activities as “vital engagements between nations aimed at maintaining peace and stability in international waters.”

India follows the U.S., Australia, Japan, Canada and France in teaming up with Philippine forces in the South China Sea through a maritime cooperative activity. Indian outlets have reported that the joint patrol will coincide with Philippine President Bongbong Marcos’ visit to India next week.

Indian-Philippine defense cooperation has ramped up in recent years, with Indian in 2022 selling BrahMos supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles to the Philippine Marine Corps. New Delhi also revised its stance on the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration last year, moving from an acknowledgment of the outcome to calling for adherence to the award.

The first Philippine BrahMos missile base has the potential to strike maritime targets in the South China Sea off Western Luzon, including those around the contested Scarborough Shoal. New Delhi previously offered Manila defense loans and its roster of domestically developed and produced military equipment in support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines modernization program
