INTOLERANCE

Real reason why there was spate of interviews about intolerance by the artists/writers etc
An Eye opener
B. Jeyamohan is one of the most influential contemporary, Tamil and Malayalam writer and literary critic from Nagercoil
This is the translation of his article:
"Intolerance"
I learnt the meaning of “Power” when I visited Delhi in 1994 to receive my Sanskriti Samman award and stayed for two days in India International Centre. I did have some familiarities with Information and culture ministries. However, IIC is the place where “Power” is served on a gold plate.
IIC is located in a peaceful and luxurious bungalow with lawns, high class food and drinks, quietly moving waiters, the butter English spoken without the upper lip moving, lipsticked women gracefully adjusting their hair, the elegant welcome given to the inner circle members with signs and hugs without making any noise!
I have stayed in many star hotels later. But I have never seen anywhere the luxury and comfort of IIC.
IIC was established and funded by the Indian government as an independent body to promote arts and free thinking. If my memory serves me right, Dr. Karan Singh was also its head. I saw him in that evening.
I saw every intellectual that I had known through my reading of English language magazines. U R Ananthamurthy was staying there for almost four years almost as a permanent fixture. Girish Karnad was staying for a few days. Writers, journalists and thinkers such as Pritish Nandi, Makarant Parajpe, Shobha De were seen everywhere in the Centre.
It was true that I was overwhelmed that day. Arunmozhi (my wife) ran to Girish Karnad on spotting him and was thrilled to introduce herself to him. I was told that Nayantara Sehgal used to come there on daily basis to have a drink. I saw her that day too. I realized that the two other individuals who were given the award along with me, Rajdeep Sardesai and Anamika Haksar were regulars there.
They wear rough Kolkata kurtas and Kolhapuri chappals. Wear small glasses. Women in pure white hair and khadi saris. One of them, they said, was Kapila Vatsyayan. They said, Pupul Jayakar will also come. Wherever you turn, there were literary talks and art discussions.
That pomp kind of unnerved me. The ultra high intellectualism seen there somewhat alienated me. Venkat Swaminathan, who saw me the next day, immediately recognised my sense of discomfort. He said, "Hey, three fourth of this crowd is just a perfect horde of crows (the Tamil equivalent of psychophants). The snobs that make their living are draw their power by licking the boots of power centres. Most of them are mere power brokers. At best you may find one or two artists who you will really respect. And they can't bear this atmosphere for too long and will just run away.
But these are the people who decide what is culture for this country. They can talk about every thing in the world for one hour in colourful English with the right number of jargons. But on the 61st minute, the colour will start fading. Actually they don't know any thing in the real sense. Almost all are like the little boxes we find in attics which held hing a long time back", said Venkat Swaminathan.
Everyone will have four or five trusts in the name of Service Organizations or Cultural Organizations. They will be flying from one conference to the other. Once given accommodation in a government bungalow, they can never be removed from there. In Delhi alone this crowd has illegally occupied about 5,000 bungalows. There is another Power Centre similar to this in Delhi which is called the JNU. It is the same story there too.
Can't the government get rid of them?", I asked. He said, "normally governments do not think in that line. Because this crowd has stuck itself from the time of Nehru. They support each other. Even if some IAS officials try, they will fall at the right feet and escape".
"There is one more thing added to it" said Venkat Swaminathan. "Not only were these people just parasites, they also derive great power by showing themselves as progressive leftists. Did you notice it?". I said "Yes" with an amazement.
They are known throughout the world through the numerous seminars they attend. They are highly networked. Journalists around the world seek their opinion on whatever happens in India. They are the people who gave a leftist mask to the Congress Government. If you look at it that way, the amount spent on them is quite low”, he said. They are the trolls sitting on the head of India and nobody can do anything to them. They decide what is art or culture or thought of India.
I have often been to IIC with my Malayalam journalist friends. For them, this is the place to pick rumours and convert them in to news. They know there are no secrets as the day wears out and the spirits rise higher and higher in the head.
But I can only pity those people who engage in to political debates based on the supposedly rare gems of wisdoms dished out by these “intellectuals” through the middle pages of English newspapers. These intellectuals never actually know the real politics. They just shout on the basis of the superfluous knowledge and stand points, with the prime space enable by the network. That’s all.
Long time back when I wrote about this Circle, I had mentioned that Barkha Dutt is none but a power broker, my own friends fought with me for degrading a “progressive fighter”. Fortunately for me, within a few days, the brokering she did with Tata leaked out through the Nira Radia tapes. (Incidentally, what happened to that case, does any body know?). But even those stark revelations could not bring down Barkha Dutt from her exalted pedestal even for a month. That is the kind of power they have.
But now, for the first time in the history of independent India someone has dared to touch this power circle. Warnings were circulated at the lower level for the last about 6 months. Last week the Culture Ministry decided to send a notice to them. This, perhaps, is the reason for these intellectuals to suddenly flare up against “intolerance”.
For example, painter Jatin Das, father of actress Nandita Das is occupying a large government bungalow at one of the premium locations in Delhi free of cost for many years. Government has sent an eviction notice to him. This is the real reason for Nandita Das strongly speaking about intolerance in television channels and writing in English newspapers (all diligently carried by the network).
Even for a man as strong Modi, I think he has touched a wrong nerve. These elements are too powerful. They can destroy India through the media worldwide. They can create a picture that rivers of blood are flowing in India. They can make businessmen around the world to halt. They can wreck the tourism industry. The truth is there is no other power centre like this in India. Tolerating them is unavoidable for India. And Modi’s intolerance of them is extremely dangerous – not only for him but for the country itself. "

WHAT ARE YOU WORTH ?

Many people reveal that they have issues with their self worth. They do not always appreciate themselves and what they have. It is up to me to shift their focus towards the great things they have in their lives or how capable they are.
Self-worth can be damaged when we face difficulties and “failures”. I put failures in quotation marks because I think every “failure” is an opportunity in disguise. I did not always think like this so I understand how hard it is for my reader to recognize it. When things do not work out the way we expect them to, they create doubt. Doubt is very debilitating.

Doubt the doubt

A well-known speaker and my Guru Jack Canfield started his seminar in San Francisco by holding up a $20 bill in a room of 200 people.
He asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you, but first, let me do this”, and he proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.
He then asked, “Who still wants it?”
Still the hands went up in the air.
“Well”, he replied, “What if I do this?” and he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
“Now, who still wants it?”
Still the hands went into the air.
“How come you still want it?” he asked.
“It is still worth $20″, came the answer.
“Then, my friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson”, said the speaker, “No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It is still worth $20.”
“Many times in our lives” he continued,
“We are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by who we are.”
You are special – never forget it!
Every time you feel down, think of yourself as a crumpled, dirty, even torn $20 note. You have value.
Have faith in your self my friend!
To Your Continuing Success!

HOW TO MAINTAIN FLOW OF FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE

“Financial abundance does not occur in one’s life because of hard work or good luck, or favoritism— financial abundance is simply the Universe’s response to consistent thoughts and feelings of abundance.
As you gradually train your own thoughts into those of positive expectation, as you align with thoughts of worthiness and Well-Being, as you align with your true power by seeking good feeling thoughts—you will no longer offer resistance to your own abundance. And when your resistance stops, your abundance will come. A flood of good-feeling ideas and possibilities will flow to you. Interesting and exciting conversations will surround you. People of influence and means will seek you out and find you. Opportunities and propositions will be plentiful. And soon you will stand in knowing amusement that all of this was always there within your reach, but in your resistant state of attraction, you were not yet able to experience it, but then, it came—not because of your struggle but because of your ease.
When you are able to accomplish the feeling of abundance before the evidence has shown itself to you, the evidence must come, and will continue to come as long as you maintain the feeling of abundance.”
- Abraham Hicks (Getting Into The Vortex)

Talk About Abundance to Increase Your Prosperity
“To increase your prosperity, talk about your abundance. Words are important. Everything you say has the potential to create the reality you experience. The universe responds to your positive talk. Even if you do not have something you want in your life right now, if you begin to talk and act as if you are certain you will have it, you will draw to you the circumstances to have it. Words affect your subconscious, which hears what you say and goes to work directly to make your words come true. The words “I do not have enough money” go directly to your unconscious, which begins creating lack. Rather than saying, “I can’t afford to buy this,” say, “I choose not to buy this at this time.”
“Speak of what is good in your life right now, and how positive you feel about the future. Speak to others of your confidence and trust in yourself, without emphasizing your lack. Your friends carry an image of you, and when you think of yourself you pick up their pictures. If you speak to others of your prosperity, they will think of you as prosperous; they will carry positive mental pictures of you that you can tap into whenever you want.”
- Creating Money: Attracting Abundance (Orin and DaBen)

“What is the true value of gratitude? Gratitude acknowledges your power and ability to create. It focuses your attention on what you have, and what you pay attention to increases. Appreciation is a state of mind that magnetizes money and abundance to you.”
“Think of your subconscious as a small child. Have you ever noticed how children respond when you praise them, how much harder they try, how their faces light up with joy and their eyes sparkle? Appreciating yourself and thanking the universe motivates the child within you to create even more good in your life.”
“Thanking the universe for your abundance, either by mentally saying thank you or acknowledging your gratitude aloud, will multiply your prosperity.”
- Creating Money: Attracting Abundance (Orin and DaBen)

“Every time you experience something you like, you can create even more of it in your life by using a process called amplifying. For instance, say you have just experienced or received something you want more of. Stop for a moment, and let the joy of having it grow stronger. Feel the satisfaction in your body, emotions, and mind. Then get quiet and imagine yourself amplifying that energy. Pretending that you are increasing your feelings of satisfaction and happiness, plus intending to have more good things appear in your life, is all that is required.”
- Creating Money: Attracting Abundance (Orin and DaBen)

“I especially feel inspired reading true stories by Reality Shifters readers in extremely energized states of consciousness who have experienced money coming into being exactly when needed, as it materialized before their very eyes. One man who had spent a weekend at a spiritual retreat in Phoenix reported having attained such a “blissful, joy-filled state,” that money was materializing in his hand so he could give it to the cashier; “I realized I was creating the money with which I was paying her!”

RSS Mulling on Sanjay Joshi as Next President of BJP

The recent loss in Bihar, Jhabua(LS) in MP and in Panchayat Elctions in Gujarat  BJP cadre is speaking openly about conduct of tainted  Shah who is arrogant and at times insulting to BJP Cadres,MLA, MP and senior functionaries of the party.Soon Shah need to be replaced by most popular Sanjay Joshi.RSS has also made up its mind to get rid of Amit Shah to save BJP cadre from fragmentation.

Sanjay Joshi is back in  active politics though no position is given to him so far. Joshi’s posters, despite the threat, are once again back on display today in Ahemdabad and other cities of Gujarat.RSS had asked Sanjay Joshi to get into detail as to how BJP was doing in Bihar.Joshi submitted his report before final phase of Bihar election categorically stating losing Bihar election and reasons for that loss.Even Narendramodi dismissed the report but result is in front of us. The speculation is that this time the threat is serious to Modi and Shah. Come January, the anti-Modi-Shah, leaders in the BJP want to ensure that Shah is replaced and sent to Gujarat. This time leading the race for presidents post  is Sanjay Joshi. RSS  thinks Sanjay Joshi should take over as the BJP president. Joshi has the support of,  among others, L K Advani,  Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje,  Govindacharya, Uma Bharti, Gadkari, Parrikar and Rajnath and a host of leaders who rose with the support of Sanjay Joshi few years back when Joshi was National General Secretary Organization .

RSS wants BJP to be strong with Sansakara of Hindutva and would  want BJP workers march along then Dr Mohan Bhagwat and Bhaiyyaji Joshi will certainly make Sanjay Joshi next  BJP President. He is the only one as BJP President can motivate BJP workers and Organization to fulfill wish of Dr Mohan Bhagwat that is to construct Bhavya ram Mandir in his life time

Of late in last one year Majority Hindus, inspite of voting Narendra Modi with 282 seat, feel badly let down.Nothing has been done by Narendra Modi as PM for Hindus or in the larger interest of Hindus.Issue of Ram Mandir which is core at the heart of Millions of Hindu has not yet been touched by Modi-Shah combine.Article 370 is kept at the back burner while BJP tied up with Anti National PDP to form a Govt.Which is an unholy alliance of demonic sort.On asking question from Amit Shah on construction of Ram Mandir he sarcastically replied that for that 375 sets in LS should be given to BJP. Shameless as usual Shah is not thank full to Majority Hindus who Voted out Anti Hindu Congress to bring back focus on Hindutva, A majority Government after 30 years in the country. No mention of Common Civil Code,National Family Planning Policy,Removal of Article 370,
Removal of Politically Motivated Cases on Hindus etc.

RSS is keenly looking at BJP organisation to work for the party as one mass in upcoming Bengal and UP elections, therefore thinking to give Sanjay Joshi additional responsibility of UP to mobilize cadre.Aim is two fold Ram Mandir and UP Election.
Sanjay Joshi has already worked with Dr Pravin Togadiya in Gujarat for number of years and Togadiya may  head  VHP due to demise of  Shri Ashok Singhal.Joshi is liked by nation wide BJP cadre,Head of RSS and Dr Togadiya. This combination will be best suited for Election,Hindutva Agenda and Ram Mandir Construction.

Is RSS, BJP and VHP are ready to adopt changes immediately in the larger interest of the country?

3 Case Studies That Will Make You Question The Nature Of Reality

3 Case Studies That Will Make You Question The Nature Of Reality

The way your mind affects your performance has been widely documented.
In everything from sports to medicine, we have seen people achieve remarkable things by imagining and believing them with clarity and conviction.
It might have even happened to you already… Have you ever imagined something so clearly that it eventually became true? Well, whether you were doing it consciously or not, the science shows that you were giving yourself a big advantage.
Here are the three most astonishing case studies we’ve heard about that will remind you of the power of your own mind and the flexible nature of your reality.
Case Study #1 — Soviet Olympians
Dr. Charles Garfield, former NASA researcher and current president of The Performance-Science Institute in Berkeley, California, talks about a startling experiment conducted by Soviet sports scientists.
The study examined the effect of mental training, including visualization, on four groups of world-class athletes just prior to the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.

The four groups of elite athletes were divided as follows:
  • Group 1 did 100% physical training.
  • Group 2 did 75% physical training, 25% mental training.
  • Group 3 did 50% physical training, 50% mental training.
  • Group 4 did 25% physical training, 75% mental training.
What the researchers found was that Group 4 — the group with the most mental training — had shown significantly greater improvement than Group 3.
Likewise, Group 3 showed more improvement than Group 2, and Group 2 showed more improvement than Group 1.
Athletes that did the most mental training improved the fastest.
The trainers were astonished.
Dr. Garfield said, “During mental rehearsal, athletes create mental images of the exact movements they want to emulate in their sport. Use of this skill substantially increases the effectiveness of goal-setting, which up until then had been little more than a dull listing procedure.”
If mental exercises and visualization could have such a profound impact on athletes, what kind of impact could it have on you?
Can you use the same principle to improve your attitudes, confidence and skills? Could it impact your learning ability; your golf swing; your ability to shed weight and stick to a diet?
The answer is yes.
We will explore this topic in our upcoming Masterclass on Advanced Creative Visualization with Vishen Lakhiani and Lisa Nichols.
Case Study #2 — A Miracle Cancer Cure

In 1950, a new drug called Krebiozen had received sensational national publicity as a “cure” for cancer and was being tested by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). One of the researchers involved in this testing was a doctor named Bruno Klopfer.
One of Dr. Klopfer’s patients, Mr. Wright, was suffering from cancer of the lymph nodes. All standard treatments had been exhausted, and Wright appeared to have little time left. His neck, armpits, chest, abdomen and groin were filled with tumors the size of oranges, and his spleen and liver were so enlarged that two quarts of milky fluid had to be drained out of his body each day.

An Experimental Drug — Krebiozen
When Wright discovered that Dr. Klopfer was involved in research on Krebiozen, he begged to be given Krebiozen treatments.
At first his doctor refused because the drug was untested and only being tried on people with a life expectancy of at least three months.
Wright begged so hard, however, that Klopfer decided to give him one injection on Friday, though he secretly suspected Wright would not last the weekend.
Dr. Klopfer was in for a big surprise.
On the following Monday, Klopfer found Wright out of bed and walking around. Klopfer reported that his tumors had “melted like snowballs on a hot stove” and were half their original size. This was a far more rapid decrease in size than even the strongest X-ray treatments could have accomplished.
Ten days after Wright’s first Krebiozen treatment, he left the hospital and, as far as his doctors could tell, with no signs of cancer. When he entered the hospital, he had needed an oxygen mask to breathe, but when he left he was well enough to fly his own plane at 12,000 feet with no discomfort.
The Drug Turned Out To Be Ineffective

Wright remained well for about two months, but then articles began to appear asserting that Krebiozen actually had no effect on cancer of the lymph nodes. Wright, who was rigidly logical and scientific in his thinking, became very depressed, suffered a relapse, and was readmitted to the hospital. This time, his physician decided to try an experiment.

Dr. Klopfer told Wright that Krebiozen was every bit as effective as it had seemed, but that some of the initial supplies of the drug had deteriorated during shipping. He explained, however, that he had a new highly-concentrated version of the drug and could treat Wright with this. Of course, the physician did not have a new version of the drug and intended to inject Wright with nothing more than plain sterile water.
Again, the results were dramatic. The tumor masses melted, chest fluid had vanished, and Wright was quickly back on his feet and feeling great. Yet he had been injected with nothing more than sterile water.
Wright’s Beliefs Were So Strong, He Could Make Cancer Appears And Disappears At Will
Wright remained symptom-free for another two months, but then the American Medical Association announced that a nationwide study of Krebiozen had found the drug worthless in the treatment of cancer. This time Wright’s faith was completely shattered. His cancer blossomed anew and he died two days later.
Wright’s story is tragic, but it contains a powerful message: When we are fortunate enough to bypass our disbelief and tap the healing forces within us, we can cause tumors to melt away overnight.
The patient’s mind alone, independent of the value of the medication, produced his recovery.
This event proved that your mind is so powerful that it can literally bring wonderful or tragic events to bear within days. Yet, most people do not learn how to tap into and control this powerful force.
Many people do have their minds working for them, but in negative ways. Doctors call this “psychosomatic illness” — an illness caused by a person’s negative belief system.
We will explore this topic in our upcoming Masterclass on Advanced Creative Visualization with Vishen Lakhiani and Lisa Nichols.
Case Study #3 — Creating Positive Coincidences

Okay, so the effect of the mind on the body is pretty clear. Placebos can help our minds heal illnesses and athletes who visualize their performance out-compete those who don’t.
But can the mind influence the world beyond your body?
In other words, can the mind create coincidences and influence reality?

This a story of one man who discovered the power of his mind in creating coincidences when he became a household name in America because of the success of his work.
For the purpose of this story, let’s call the man Scott. His full name will not be revealed until the end to make this story more intriguing. This story was told in a book Scott wrote in 1998.
In the early 1980s, Scott had heard of a process called affirmations from a friend. The process he learned was simple.
Visualize what you want and write it down fifteen times in a row, once a day, until you obtain it.
Scott Was A Left-brained And Logical Person

He was told that the process did not require any faith or positive thinking for it to work. Even more interesting was the suggestion that the technique would influence the environment directly and not just make you more focused on your goals.
In other words, it would spawn amazing coincidences to move you toward your goals. The coincidences could be things that were seemingly unconnected to you and beyond your control.
He had his doubts about the process but figured that there was no harm in trying.
“Within a few weeks, coincidences started to happen to me,” wrote Scott.
“Amazing coincidences, strings of them. I won’t mention the specific goal I was working on, as it was a private matter, but within a few months the goal was accomplished exactly as I had written it.”
But Scott Was Not Yet Convinced That Affirmations Helped
Coincidences do happen on their own and Scott considered the test inconclusive.
So Scott picked another goal — to make some gains in the stock market. He wrote his affirmation down every day and waited for some inspiration.
It came to him in a dream.
He woke up one night with the words “Buy Chrysler” repeating in his head.
He bought shares in the inspired company during one of its most bleak periods, yet it began to rise soon after and he made some good returns on it. He repeated the experiment again and managed to pick another successful company, with stock symbol “Ask.”
Armed with this confidence in the power of affirmations Scott decided to apply it to a more challenging goal — getting into the highly competitive MBA Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
The problem was that he had already taken the entrance exam, the G.M.A.T, and only hit the 77th percentile score. He knew he needed to be above the 90th percentile to at least have a chance of being accepted.
Scott picked the outlandish target of 94 as his goal and again applied the affirmation technique.
Despite not being able to go much higher than the 77th percentile in the practice exams Scott was surprised to learn that he did indeed hit the 94th percentile for the G.M.A.T — just as he had written in his affirmations.
He Graduated With His Berkeley MBA In 1986
A few years later, he tried pursuing a more serious goal — that of becoming a syndicated cartoonist. He knew the odds of his cartoon submission being accepted by a major newspaper were roughly one in 10,000.
He beat those odds and his cartoon was accepted. He was soon earning a decent living with his cartoon strip but he wanted to achieve something bigger.
He decided he wanted the most successful comic strip on the planet. Scott felt that the best measure of “most successful” would be number of books sold.
In June 1996, his book The Dilbert Principle hit the number one spot on the hardcover nonfiction list of the New York Times. It stayed in the top three all summer. In November, his second book, Dogbert’s TopSecret Management Handbook, also made the bestseller list, giving Scott the number one and number two positions simultaneously for one week.

For That Brief Period Of Time, Scott Had The “Most Successful” Comic Strip On The Planet
As you may have guessed, the person I’m talking about is Scott Adams, the creator of the highly successful Dilbert comic strip.
Scott writes about these experiences with affirmations in his book The Dilbert Future. He does not profess to know why it works but leaves the conclusion to the reader. You can buy Scott Adams’ hilarious Dilbert books at any bookstore.

DON'T LOOK BACK, LOOK FORWARD

Dear Friends, Seasons Greetings,

Are you in constant motion, even while sitting
still. The question is, do you move forward or backward? The
answer is: it depends on which way you look.

Looking backward does have value. You may have heard it said
before: You can't really know where you're going until you
know where you've come from.

That is certainly true, looking
back helps you know your personal heritage and whether or
not you want to revise or extend that legacy.

A look backward can also show you the need to mend a damaged
relationship, heal a broken heart, or clear up some
unfinished business.

But looking back can also be paralyzing. Some folks are
stuck in the past. They stay there because for them, the
past is better than the present, or at least, it's more
comfortable, less risky and not as demanding.

While some look backward to review their days of glory,
others look at the past to relive mistakes and review missed
opportunities.

That kind of constant backward look is truly
hurtful. Here's why: when you dwell on the past too much it
clouds your vision of the future and inhibits personal
growth.

Your future has two possibilities: it will be decided either
by design or by fate. If your future is by design that means
it's up to you.

If it's by fate it means you're willing to allow your peers, parents,
or worst of all, the government, to run your life. How fun does that sound?

I'm sure you know this is true: The future is where you're
going to live so you better look forward and create your
vision of your future or someone else will. Ask yourself,
"What do I want my future to look like?" Then ask, "What
must I do to make that future happen?"

Remember when you first learned to ride a bike? At first you
just wanted to sit on it and try to keep it up-right. That
didn't work too well, did it?

You quickly discovered the best way to maintain balance and
ride safely was to make it move forward. It's a lesson for life.
You have to make your bike (your life) move forward or you crash.

Your mom or dad can run beside you and hold on for awhile,
but eventually they must let go and set you free.

And that's the way it is right now. I honestly believe that
80% of your life is up to you. Sure your past may have
harmed you or it could have been glorious, but it's not
where you are today and tomorrow is where you must live.

Which way are you looking? If you're spending too much time
in the past either reliving your glory or reviewing its
shame, change the direction you look.

Don't look back, look forward.

Stay happy always
