The Naval Mutiny -1946
Not many of us will remember that today is the 75th anniversary of the Indian naval mutiny /uprising against the British rule /Royal Indian Naval officers(British). The prime mover of the uprising was one BC Dutt. The nerve center of the uprising was in Bombay based ships. In 1946 the civilian population of Bombay also supported it. Aruna Asaf Ali, a politician of yesteryear had supported the movement. The uprising continued in Bombay for 4-5 days and for the first time, the blood of men in uniform and civilians was spilled in a common cause.
