Voting for the third round of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections took place today in 93 constituencies across 11 states and union territories. More than 1,300 competitors competed in this important stage, including 120 women.

No interim relief for Arvind Kejriwal for now in excise policy case

The apex court had earlier said that it would consider granting interim bail to the Delhi Chief Minister in view of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. "We will keep the matter on Tuesday morning now, and since it is going to take time, we may hear you on the on the questions of interim bail due to the elections... so please be prepared to answer on that," a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta had told told Additional Solicitor General S V Raju on Friday.

Delhi Court Extends CM Arvind Kejriwal's Judicial Custody In ED's Liquor Policy Case Till May 20

 

A Delhi court on Tuesday extended Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's hearing in the money laundering case till May 20. Rouse Avenue Court Special Judge Kaveri Baweja gave the verdict during the final hearing of the ED case. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is holding a hearing on Kejriwal's grant of interim bail. Kejriwal was arrested by the Directorate of Police (ED) on the evening of March 21. The candidate's statement stated that Kejriwal received money for the Goa elections. Delhi Chief Minister approached the Supreme Court challenging the above order of Delhi High Court Judge Swarana Kanta Sharma. The Supreme Court is hearing his defense today.
