The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has enforced a 25% tariff on products from Canada and Mexico, along with a 10% tariff on Chinese goods, citing a "national emergency" due to illegal immigration and fentanyl, according to White House representatives. 

Trump had been vocal about his intentions to introduce these tariffs to encourage better collaboration from neighboring nations in preventing “illegal immigration” and the trafficking of substances related to fentanyl. It is crucial to protect the American public, and as President, it is my responsibility to guarantee their safety. I pledged during my Campaign to stop the influx of unauthorized immigrants and drugs across our Borders, and the American people strongly supported this initiative,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

"CENTCOM's mission is to pursue and neutralize terrorists while safeguarding our homeland from groups that aim to target US and allied personnel," asserted General Michael Erik Kurilla, who leads US Central Command.

The Office of Emergency Management in Philadelphia announced a "major incident" was occurring, resulting in road closures in the surrounding area, and asked the public to steer clear of the site.

Numerous emergency responders gathered outside Roosevelt Mall, which features various retail shops and eating establishments.

US President Donald Trump expressed his sorrow, noting he was "deeply saddened to see the plane crash in Philadelphia."
