Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was told by US President Joe Biden that Tel Aviv has the right to defend itself, but must do so in accordance with international humanitarian law. Global leaders stepped up calls for urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza as the warning came. After thousands of people ransacked its food warehouses in Gaza, taking wheat, flour, and other supplies, the United Nations said the "civil order" was beginning to crumble.
After Hamas intensified its air and ground operations in Gaza on Saturday, communication and internet services were completely cut off, but some gradually returned on Sunday.
The war between Israel and Palestine's Hamas militant group entered its 24th day on Sunday. Over 9,000 people have died on both sides.
