Indian-American Congressman Shri Thanedar condemns ‘all Hinduphobia’ in US following MAGA attack
Indian-American Congressman Shri Thanedar presents a remedy against Hinduphobia amidst bigoted assaults related to immigration assistance.
Indian-American Congressman Shri Thanedar, a Democrat representing Michigan, has denounced “all Hinduphobia” as well as racism in the United States after being subjected to a surge of vitriolic language over the weekend.
The criticism arrived after Thanedar, who was born in Karnataka, India, expressed his backing for the H-1B visa program and pushed for an increase in lawful immigration to uphold America's competitive edge in innovation. “Regrettably, the discussion surrounding the H-1B visa has been co-opted by MAGA racism and xenophobia,” he remarked.
“By boosting H-1B visa numbers and simplifying the H-1B and green card procedures, America preserves our advantage in innovation & discovery,” Thanedar stated in a subsequent tweet.

Pranab Mukherjee's offspring Sharmistha criticizes Rahul Gandhi's 'bhakt-chelas', clashes with her brother for defending Congress
Sharmistha Mukherjee has also taken aim at her sibling Abhijit, who previously remarked that there ought to be no dispute related to the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Sharmistha Mukherjee, the child of ex-president Pranab Mukherjee, has denounced the supporters of Congress politician Rahul Gandhi and furthermore responded to her own brother, Abhijit Mukherjee on Monday, a few days after she claimed that no CWC session took place following her father's death.
Sharmistha Mukherjee also confronted Rahul Gandhi's "Bhakt-chelas," who allegedly referred to Pranab Mukherjee as "Sanghi" due to his trip to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters in Nagpur, in contrast to the Congress MP embracing Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Parliament discussion in 2018.
"To the Bhakt-chelas of Rahul, who label my father as 'Sanghi' for visiting RSS, I challenge them to inquire of their leader why he embraced @narendramodi in parliament, whom his mother referred to as 'maut ka saudagar'? Based on their twisted reasoning, Rahul should thus be considered his accomplice," Sharmistha Mukherjee stated on X on Monday.
In a separate post, she commented, "Wishing @RahulGandhi the best of luck in reviving Congress with this group of malicious idiots & sycophants! Now proceed to release your ‘Nafrat ki dukandars’ upon me. I truly could not care less!"

Days After Pakistani Airstrikes, Soldier Dies In Skirmishes With Afghan Forces
Intermittent combat, involving significant weaponry, broke out overnight among border troops along the frontier separating Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from Afghanistan's Khost province. A security source reported on Saturday that a Pakistani paramilitary soldier lost his life and seven others sustained injuries during cross-border gunfire with Afghan forces, coinciding with mass protests by Afghans against the lethal airstrikes that initiated the confrontations.
Intermittent combat, involving significant weaponry, broke out overnight among border troops along the frontier separating Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from Afghanistan's Khost province, as confirmed by officials from both nations.
These gunfire exchanges followed accusations from Afghanistan's Taliban government, claiming that Pakistan had killed 46 individuals, primarily women and children, in airstrikes near the border in Paktika province earlier this week.
A senior security figure from Pakistan indicated that they targeted "terrorist hideouts," although Islamabad has not officially corroborated the air assault.
"A solitary frontier corps (FC) soldier has been reported killed, and seven additional personnel have been injured," a senior security official stationed at the border communicated to AFP, noting that confrontations transpired in at least two areas within Pakistan's Kurram border district.
The Afghan defense ministry announced via X that "multiple locations" over the border with Pakistan "where the assaults in Afghanistan were orchestrated... were struck in retaliation." An official from Khost province informed AFP that the fights compelled locals to evacuate border regions, though there were no reports of injuries among Afghan forces.
In Khost city, the provincial capital, hundreds of Afghans staged a demonstration against Pakistan on Saturday, demanding accountability for the civilian fatalities.
Protester Najibullah Zaland stated that they called for international economic pressure on Pakistan to avert future occurrences.
"We assembled here today to voice our concerns to the global community," he conveyed to AFP.
"A framework for peace must be established, or otherwise the youth will not remain voiceless."
The protesters commended the Afghan military, with one demonstrator, Rashidullah Hamdard, asserting, "our fighters provided a robust response, and we stand united with our forces."

2 satellites, one dock': ISRO’s SpaDeX Mission will revolutionize space travel today
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is poised to conclude 2024 with a transformative advance in space exploration. On December 30, 2024, at exactly 9:58 PM IST, ISRO is scheduled to launch its eagerly awaited SpaDeX mission on the PSLV-C60. This initiative signifies a crucial turning point for India’s aspirations in space, highlighting the nation's inaugural demonstration of in-space docking technology featuring two small crafts.
The SpaDeX initiative consists of two satellites, SDX01 (the Chaser) and SDX02 (the Target), which are engineered to dock within low Earth orbit. This technological achievement is essential for India's future projects, including lunar missions and the establishment of a national space station. ISRO has assured that the PSLV-C60 is in readiness, with the launch vehicle fully assembled and transported to the First Launch Pad for concluding inspections.
The mission initiates with the deployment of the Target satellite 15 minutes following launch, soon to be followed by the Chaser. By employing precise incremental velocity modifications, the Target spacecraft will gradually separate from the Chaser by 10-20 km, creating the conditions for a series of methodical maneuvers. These maneuvers will involve systematic reductions in the distance between the satellites, culminating in docking—a milestone anticipated to take place in early January 2025.
ISRO characterizes SpaDeX as a landmark achievement in India’s endeavors in space, enhancing competencies in spacecraft rendezvous, docking, and undocking. These technologies are crucial for servicing satellites, managing space station operations, and undertaking interplanetary missions. As stated by ISRO, "SPADEX will act as a vital progression in enhancing India’s space docking capabilities, facilitating future missions that include astronauts, sample returns, and sophisticated space infrastructure."
Compounding the mission’s intricacy, the PSLV-C60 will also transport 24 payloads as a component of the PS4-Orbital Experiment Module (POEM-4). These payloads exemplify ISRO’s commitment to incorporating state-of-the-art research into operational missions, highlighting India’s swift advancement in space exploration.
