2 New Recruits Help Israel Track Hamas Operatives In Gaza. They Are Both AI

There are reports that the Israeli military is using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) in bombing operations against Gaza. The so-called "Lavender" and "Bible" systems have played an important role in the IDF's mission strategy and have sparked controversy over their ethics and legality.

What is Lavender? AI

Created by Unit 8200, Israel's elite intelligence unit, Lavender operates as an intelligence production facility designed to identify potential targets affiliated with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Lavender used machine learning algorithms and analyzed vast amounts of data to identify individuals in the military group who were considered "junior" militants.

According to reports by the Israeli-Palestinian publication +972 magazine and the Hebrew-language magazine Local Call, Lavender initially identified some 37,000 Palestinian men with ties to Hamas or PIJ. The use of artificial intelligence to identify targets is a major shift in the way Israeli intelligence agencies Mossad and Shin Bet operate, relying on more human decision-making.

The military often makes a split-second decision, and according to Lavender's data it takes about 20 seconds to decide whether to bomb these targets, mostly based on gender identity. Even though the AI program has a margin of error of up to 10 percent, meaning it could be wrong by up to 10 percent, most human soldiers follow the machine's instructions without question. The report stated that the program mostly targeted individuals with little or no connection to Hamas.

What is Gospel AI

Gospel is an alternative intelligence that takes goals based on intelligent ideas. Unlike Lavender, who knows people's targets, Evangelist sees houses and buildings as targets. It is a system that allows the creation of targets quickly through the use of electronic equipment and the development of the most accurate and best intelligence profiles when needed. The Israeli Defense Forces provide good advice to researchers in order to ensure perfect competition between the quality of the machine's ideas and the analysis made by humans, by ensuring the elimination of new skills quickly and with the help of intelligence," the Israel Defense Forces said in its statement.

However, experts say that artificial intelligence-driven targets It says it analyzes different data, often including drone footage, intercepted communications, surveillance data and codes of conduct.

Ethical and Legal Issues

The use of lavender and the gospel in Israel's bombing campaigns represents a significant advance at the intersection of intelligence and modern warfare, but also leads to justice and law. While these technologies are effective in targeting and combating targets, their deployment raises ethical and legal challenges.

Hezbollah Says Fires Drones, Guided Missiles At Israel In Retaliatory Strike

Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah movement said on Saturday that Israel had hit northern Israel with drones and missiles after a cross-border attack killed three people, including two Hezbollah members. In a statement,

Group said it "launched a formidable attack using explosive drones and guided missiles against the Al Manara military commander's base and the military concentration of the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade."

The Israeli military said its Iron Dome air defense system "successfully intercepted an enemy air project that crossed from Lebanon to the Manara region in northern Israel." The military also "fired numerous rockets from Lebanon to the Manala border area," the report said.

Lebanese state media later reported that 11 people were injured, one seriously, in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the village of Srebin. In the statement made by the Israeli army, it was stated that early on Saturday, Israeli warplanes "hit Hezbollah military buildings in the Kuza region of southern Lebanon."

Since the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza began about seven months ago, there has been an exchange of fire almost every day on the border between Lebanon and Israel.

In two separate statements made early on Saturday, Hezbollah expressed regret over the deaths of two assassins from the villages of Kafr Kila and Khiam.

He said they were "killed on the way to Jerusalem", a term used for members killed by Israeli fire. Hezbollah has carried out attacks on military facilities in Israel since the bombing of the Damascus Consulate in Tehran on April 1, which caused tensions between Israel and Iran, and Israel was responsible for this.

Mamata wants govt that is soft on terrorism: Nadda CBI recovers arms and ammunition

CBI officials claimed that most of the weapons found in the raid at Sandesh Khali on Friday were for use by the armed forces and said they would investigate whether Shahjahan Sheikh's neighbors got them.

A CBI official said that at least one police officer's gun was among the seized weapons. Investigators said they found a purchase order in the name of Shah Jahan from an arms and ammunition dealer. They said it was unclear whether the ammunition, which was not publicly accessible, was purchased from a dealer or an illegal source.

Some ammunition that could be purchased for personal use was also part of the consignment, CBI officials said.

“We will verify the bills with the dealer,” said an officer.

The central agency on Friday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition allegedly hidden under the floor of the house of Abu Taleb Sheikh, said to be an aide to suspended Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan.

CBI officers clarified that there was no criminality in possession of licenced arms or ammunition. “But possession of unauthorised cartridges and even misuse of authorised arms and cartridges is illegal,” an officer said.

The seized arms included 9mm calibre cartridges and 9mm bullets. According to arms experts, the use of 9mm bullets and cartridges is restricted to uniformed forces and they are not commercially available.

The seizure also included 50 pieces of 0.45 caliber cartridges which are also not commercially available, CBI sources said.

Sources in Sandeshkhali said Shahjahan had a “fascination” for collecting arms and would spend “lakhs” even on a second-hand gun if it caught his fancy. CBI teams revisited Sandeshkhali on Saturday and spoke to people around Abu Taleb’s house. His wife Marjina Bibi was also questioned.

Narendra Modi's 'Aurangzeb' attack on Rahul Gandhi: 'Nawab, not a single word against Nizam...'

Narendra Modi says 'Congress shehzada' to appease Congress party vote bank said that he had done so.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday at a rally in Karnataka's Belagavi district accused Congress stalwart Rahul Gandhi of committing atrocities on "the kings of India" but "Nawabs, Nizams, Sultans and Badshahs". He claimed that he did not object to any of his statements. PM Modi further said that Gandhi and the Congress never criticized Mughal emperor Aurangzeb for destroying Hindu temples.

“Shehzada of the Congress says that the kings of India were cruel. They took away the wealth of the poor as they wished. Congress shehzadas have insulted great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Rani Chinanamma, but their good governance and patriotism still motivate us. Is Shehzada unaware of the contributions of the Mysr royal family, of which we are all proud? , and it was Congress that brought independence and democracy and prevented this by enforcing the Constitution.

PM Modi said the 'Congress Shehzada' made the remarks to appease the Congress vote bank against the atrocities of Nawabs, Nizams, Sultans and Badshahs... Congress does not remember Aurangzeb's atrocities, which destroyed thousands of temples. The Congress forms political alliances with parties that praise Aurangzeb. They are not talking about all the people who destroyed our pilgrimage sites, plundered them, killed our people, killed our cows,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Raja of Banaras who was instrumental in establishing Banaras Hindu University was the Maharaja of Baroda who recognized the talent of BR Ambedkar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacks Congress government in Karnataka

Prime Minister Modi said that since the Congress formed the government in Karnataka, the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated.

He said Congress was starting to feel ashamed of India's achievements.
