Varanasi authorities complied with the court order and allowed the puja to be held at 'Vyas Ji ka Tehkhana' in the southern part of Gyanvapi complex on Thursday morning. Varanasi District Magistrate S Rajalingam and Superintendent of Police Ashok Mutha Jain held a meeting at midnight before the worship began. The meeting was held at a house in Kashi Vishwanath Dham area and lasted for two hours.
Following the decision, the district administration took steps to facilitate the implementation of the court decision.
