In an updated traffic alert on Monday evening, Delhi Police warned commuters that "traffic should be maintained at Singhu, Ghazipur and Tikri borders."

All police stations across the city raised the alarm, demanding that the police strengthen their watchfulness, monitoring and inspection of vehicles.

Police set up checkpoints in central Delhi on Monday. Vehicles were checked at Ranjit Singh Flyover, Mandi House, ITO, Minto Bridge, Mathura Road and Ring Road.
