The Houthis targeted merchant ships in the Red Sea with unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles.
Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for launching missiles at two ships, an American ship and a British ship, in the Red Sea. According to the information obtained, the first attack occurred in the south of the Red Sea, west of Yemen's Hodeidah port, and minor damage occurred to the ship.
The British military's UK Merchant Marine Operations (UKMTO) said a second ship was attacked on the same day near the southern Yemeni port city of Aden, according to the Associated Press. It was determined that the ship was a Marshall Islands flagged Greek ship heading from the USA to India.
