Ecstatic to have survived an assassination attempt and emboldened by the apparent collapse of Joe Biden's reelection campaign, Donald Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination.

Donald Trump told the crowd in Milwaukee that "in four months we will have an incredible victory," before vowing to "be a president for all of America, not just half of America."


This was Donald Trump's first speech since being shot and injured in the ear by a 20-year-old man at a rally last weekend, killing a passerby and wounding a minor bystander.


Donald Trump said there was blood everywhere, but in some ways he felt "very relieved because God was on my side" when he told his story.


"If I hadn't moved my head at the last moment, the assassin's bullet would have been perfectly on target, and I wouldn't be with you tonight," Donald Trump added. Donald Trump told his audience in Milwaukee that "in four months, we will have an incredible victory," and vowed to be "a president for all of America, not just half of America."


Donald Trump's speech was his first since he was shot at a rally last weekend by a 20-year-old man, who sustained a minor injury to one ear and killed a passerby.
