WANDERING BRAIN FINDS HAPPINESS

Those trusty researchers at Harvard University -- and
elsewhere -- have been busily exploring what makes us happy.
It is called the neurobiology of happiness and speaks to
what lights up our brains. The researchers are also
examining the plasticity of our brains - how we can
re-pattern our neurotransmitters for happier outcomes.
Positive psychologists, Daniel T. Gilbert and Matthew A.
Killings-worth, both from Harvard, have concluded that "a
wandering mind is not a happy mind." Yes, psychological
research does demonstrate that flair for the obvious, but,
that said, we now have scientific proof and baseline
platform for today's discussion.

We humans have minds that are in over-drive. Our minds are
forever projecting forward to explore a possibility or
vaulting backwards to review a past event. We seldom stay in
the present moment which all good mystics and mindfulness
teachers will tell you is the place to hang out. This - the
present moment - is where we get the most bang for our buck,
life-wise.

Still, it is difficult for us to shut our monkey brains
down. We hop from thought to thought with nary a breath in
between. As most of us know, meditation has been proven an
effective antidote for the non-stop mind and stressed-out
life. It works.

For some, meditation is not their thing. Good news, however,
awaits. Those wizards at Harvard have also found that quiet
time increases happiness. Yes, quiet time.

I am told that when night falls, a boat switches
energetically into what is called "low lights." In other
words, everything is shut down to preserve power. I love
that phrase. Perhaps you might see yourself as a boat with
low lights skimming inky waters under a starry sky.
Everything is safe and secure, you are allowing yourself
some time to refresh and recharge.

Enjoying Quiet time

Have you ever considered creating a daily window for quiet
time? Perhaps taking thirty minutes of unadulterated
unscheduled time to sit quietly? Nothing fancy, simply 30
precious minutes with the telephone unplugged, the computer
turned off and no one permitted to disturb you.

This is time for you to unburden yourself. There is nothing
to carry -- no bags, books, briefcases, messages, worries,
responsibilities or chores. Everything is left outside the
30-minute circle but you.

In fact, you might envision drawing an imaginary circle
around this dedicated space. It will provide you with
boundaries -- an energetic safety zone in which to release
your cares and worries. By creating a temporary sanctuary in
which you can refresh, recharge and replenish yourself, you
are free to be alone with your thoughts, stare into space,
take a bath, meditate or simply rest your eyes.

Being quiet is a healing endeavour; it soothes jangled
nerves, pre empts the bombardment of sensory stimulation and
allows the body to become still. It calms the energy field
and provides restorative tranquillity to the mind-body. Being
quiet is an avenue for both balance and peace.

Being quiet also connects you with yourself. It gives you
the opportunity to tune in to yourself and listen to what is
bubbling beneath the surface; it gives you the space to sort
out jumbled emotions or gnarled thoughts. It becomes a place
where you can process and digest the knotted and the
tangled. Being quiet allows you to clear out the internal
clutter and to approach the remainder of the day anew and
with a refreshed attitude. By regularly taking a mere 30
minutes per day for quiet time, you can create an oasis
amidst the hurriedness of your days.

Consider giving yourself permission to take a full 30
minutes of quiet. Sanctuary time calls you.

"How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest
afterwards." Spanish proverb

TODAY'S MESSAGE-HEALTH

We have all been there, some of us more often than others, finding the willpower to lift yourself off the couch and get in the exercise for the day. This can be especially true for those who identify as “fit” or healthy, putting off exercise can form into a bad habit. This guide will be for both first-time workout motivation and those who need help staying the course.

1. Summer Swimsuits – Probably the most used motivator to get moving is to fit into that swimsuit you bought for the summer. There’s no shame in this game, having a tangible way to measure progress is a solid motivator.

2. Answer Your Haters – If you have some people who get under your skin about how you can’t do it or you won’t be able to reach your goals without quitting, just use it as fuel for your fire. This shouldn't be the only reason for exercising, but it can add an extra little pep in your step.

3. Use Apps – Thanks to smartphones having built-in GPS and easy add-ons to measure heart rate, calories burned, and timed events, you can get really technical with your workouts nowadays. Are you a gamer? Well, there are plenty of fun apps now that combine games with your exercise and compete with others. One popular example is the zombie jogging app, putting in virtual obstacles and goals.

4. Turn Back the Clock – After you hit 40, it’s all downhill from there, right? Well, not if you exercise regularly. Many people feel younger than ever when they are in-shape, often younger than when they were in their 20’s.

5. More Energy – If you are someone who finds themselves dependent on energy drinks to get them through the day, you can save some cash and the potential health risks associated with chugging down caffeine all day. The 5 hour brand is safer, but nothing beats good exercise.

6. Exercise Confidence – There is no denying that after a good workout you feel better and can even trick your mind into thinking you already look better. Getting a workout in before going out is a nice confidence booster before a date.

7. Gym Networking – Even if you’re not a gym rat yourself, you can definitely get a sense of how good the community is at your gym. A good way to socialize casually without needing to spend a lot of money.

8. Get Past the Hump – The fastest way to get over a break-up or any personal drama in your life is to work that energy out. Sweating is a form of detoxification, so utilize it regularly.

9. Reward Yourself – It might sound odd, but hitting the gym by yourself is by definition a form of rewarding you and your body. The pain is temporary, the gains last much longer as a reminder of your hard work.

10. Make Them Proud – We all have a role model, a family member, or a close friend that we look up to. Showing off your progress and seeing their expressions is a priceless moment.

Are you "left-brained" or "right-brained"?

You've probably heard that people are either "left-brained" or "right-brained"--that one side of the brain is often more dominant than the other.

One side thinks logically and the other intuitively.

So what would it be like if your brain was more balanced if you could use both sides of your brain simultaneously (what scientists call "whole brain thinking"—kind of like "thinking in stereo")?

Whole brain thinking creates many advantages, both mentally and emotionally. In fact, it's the brain "signature" long-time meditators and those who have a natural balance between their mind and body...

...leading to radiant health, greater well-being, and the kind of energy that makes you want to leap out of bed to start your day.

When both sides of your brain work together, you're...

>> More self-aware...
>> More relaxed...
>> You more easily see the whole picture...
>> You easily see solutions to everyday problems...
>> You feel more connected to everything...
>> You're less emotionally reactive...
>> You make better decisions...
>> And, finally...

...you're happier!

"Whole-brain thinking" is the result of brain synchronization—which is precisely what happens when you listen to Holosync!

Why? Because as you listen, Holosync creates new neural pathways between the two sides of your brain.

Scientists used to think that after childhood your brain couldn't change (other than getting worse as you age).

Scientists now know that repeated actions, sensory stimulation, experiences, and even thoughts...

...create changes in your brain—no matter how old you are.

In fact, an entire new branch of science is devoted to studying this amazing phenomenon—the science of neuroplasticity.

When your brain is stimulated, it changes. Holosync(a specially designed) is a particularly beneficial stimulus because it causes your brain to...

>> Create new neural pathways linking the left and right sides of your brain, creating whole-brain thinking and making you smarter, more creative, and more aware...

>> Gain new access to many positive emotional states and mental abilitiesas you need them....

>> Create more of a number of beneficial hormones and neurochemicals that increase longevity and well-being, and slow aging...

Holosync slows your brain waves from the faster, more  jangled, everyday beta frequency...

...to slower, more relaxed alpha frequencies, then to still slower theta waves, and finally, into the slowest delta brain waves.

These slower brain wave patterns give you many positive  benefits.

Alpha, for instance, is the brain wave pattern of focus and concentration, restful alertness, joy, and what some call  "super-learning".

Theta is the brain wave pattern of creativity and what psychologists call "integrative experiences"—where you suddenly see a long-standing problem or issue in an entirely new way—one that quite often...

...completely changes your life!

Delta
brain wave patterns are associated with feelings of oneness and spiritual connection.

What's more, my friend Dr Menon a Neuro Surgeon—one of the world's top experts in brain wave biofeedback says that those who can access waking delta brain waves...

...are incredibly persuasive.

Would it improve your life if you could access these brain states when you need to? (I can tell you that it certainly has improved my life!)

As your brain slows into the alpha, theta, and delta rhythms, it becomes more balanced.

You become more aware—of yourself, and of others.

You become more tuned in to what's going of for others. You become more compassionate and understanding—which, as you might imagine...

...makes you much more attractive to others.

Whole-brain functioning gives you a meta-awareness, a new perspective— a view from a higher spot on the mountain.

But that's not all.

Whole-brain functioning is associated with creativity...insight...learning ability...problem solving...memory...better health...and what some call vision!

This type of brain function has been associated with  geniusesthe Einstein and Mozart of the world.

Or, in more modern times, people like Steve Jobs...Walt Disney...Stephen Hawking, and other creative, high-performance individuals like them.

Wouldn't you like to tap into this kind of whole brain, integrative, super-functioning, high-performance,creative thinking—a level of brain functioning that up until now has been reserved to...

...one-tenth of one percent of humankind?

This is what many people call being "in the zone," where you're functioning at the top of your game—in what many call "a flow state."

You can have this!

Synchronizing your brain catapults you to higher levels of effectiveness--which is one reason why Holosync has become so popular, and is used by nearly 2 million people in 193 different countries.

You may not end up a genius, but then again... who knows?

I do know this, though...

Those who use Holosync routinely tap into a whole range of remarkable personal qualities they didn't know were possible!

And don't forget, Holosync also has an amazing effect on health, well-being, and energy level.

And. anger, depression, sadness, anxiety, substance abuse, and a whole universe of dysfunctional feelings and behaviors fall away--even in people who‘ve "tried everything" without success!

And none of this is expensive. You can use Holosync and get all these benefits for the cost of about two coffee drinks a week!

You can only benefit.

I want you to see for yourself what happens when you synchronize the two sides of your brain and experience "whole-brain thinking".

Aren't you curious to find out?

It works. It's amazing. And there's no risk to do so. Please, don't let anything hold you back. Do it now.

Be well.

Mental Exercises That Can Help You Achieve Anything

The definition of success varies wildly depending on who you
ask. My definition and yours might be completely different,
or they may differ because we are simply working on
different things in our lives. You may be working on
quitting smoking, someone else may be trying to lose weight,
I may be preparing for an upcoming speech I'll have to give.

One thing is for sure though, if you want to be 'successful'
you need to get in the right mind-set.

So how do you get yourself mentally prepared to take on a
new challenge?

No matter what you're trying to accomplish, there are 4 easy
exercises that anyone can do to get themselves mentally
prepared for success.

Meditation

Meditation is the practice in which you train your mind to
induce a mode of higher consciousness. In order to do this,
find a quiet place to either sit or lay down, and simply
close your eyes and begin taking deep breaths in and out.
Doing this can help you reduce stress, become aware of
yourself and your environment, help you to ignore
distractions, improve your focus, and even help your
physical well-being.

Re framing

Re framing consists of changing the way we see things and
trying to find alternative ways of viewing ideas, events,
and situations. Re framing is a way of taking negative
thoughts or emotions, and spinning them in a positive way.
Instead of worrying over a past failure, use it as an
opportunity to see where you can improve and grow. Practice
seeing opportunity in failure or shortcomings, and pretty
soon you'll be more optimistic all around.

"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"

Visualization

Visualization is a very popular one amongst athletes,
business people, and entertainers. When you have an event
coming up (Public speaking engagement, job interview,
basketball game) visualize yourself in the process of that
event. Don't focus on the outcome or how you think it will
end up, but simply the process of what you'll be doing and
the different scenarios that could pop up during. If you do
this for everything, you'll feel more prepared to handle
situations when they arise.

Self-Talk

Self talk is the process of repeating positive affirmations
and thoughts to yourself. Things that will help you to
complete your task at hand. There are a couple different
types of self talk that you can use to help yourself achieve
any goal - motivational and instructional.

Motivational self talk could be anything from, "you got
this", "you are good enough", and "you WILL achieve your
goal".

Instructional on the other hand isn't just to pump you up
and make you feel capable and confident. An example of
instructional self talk would be a golfer trying to work on
his swing repeating to himself "bend your knees and keep
your eye on the ball".

If you practice these 4 mental exercises for a while, they
will eventually become second nature. If you can get your
mind set right, you will feel more confident and capable and
will be able to achieve anything you set out to do.

I hope you found this article useful. Share with me how useful
these 4 exercises have been for you.

Have a great day ahead! =)

DOMESTIC CARGO IN INDIA

IndianAgents Push Domestic Agenda
India Agents
The domestic air cargo sector in India is keen to build on the growth it is experiencing. Even as new airlines begin flying —regional carrier Air Pegasus started operations in the last few months and a few more like Hyderabad-based Turbo Megha Airways and Flyeasy from Bengaluru have received the necessary permissions—India is finally receiving the connectivity it has been wanting for a long, long time.
Connectivity Is King
That connectivity, according to the Domestic Air Cargo Agents Association of India (DACAAI), the apex national body of the domestic air cargo agents, will go a long way to boost cargo flow from the interiors of the country and vice-versa.
In fact, air has become a preferred mode of transport for vaccines, medicines, fruits and vegetables, high value electronics, mobile phones, couriers, and the e-commerce sector. Domestic air cargo has been growing faster than international cargo. DACAAI figures point out that domestic air cargo has been growing between 15 and 20 percent year-on-year and during 2013-14 stood at 0.8 mn mt and is 50 percent of international cargo.
That figure is expected to reach 19.7 mn mt by 2022-23 and according to air cargo stakeholders, domestic cargo will surpass international cargo by the year 2030.
Where Is The Growth?
Today, with new airlines coming in, the country will see an increase in the number of aircraft from the 525-plus to 1,000 by 2020. Along with new services, the increase in flight frequencies to Tier-II and III cities will also result in sufficient airlift capacity for domestic cargo.
For its part, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has been preparing to handle the growth in domestic cargo when the Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced the development of common-user domestic cargo and courier terminals in 24 airports around the country.
The AAI Plan
The AAI has chalked out plans to boost the domestic cargo market by utilizing passenger terminals at regional airports that see few passengers.
AAI points out that with the Indian economy opening up, “tremendous growth” had been seen in air cargo movement at airports in the country.
“Tonnages could go up if basic cargo facilities were created in Tier-II cities that could feed gateway airports.
“Hence,” says ACCI, “the creation of common-user domestic cargo and courier terminals at 24 airports after “minor modifications.”

Where Is The Action?
Among those airports where common user facilities were set up or were in the process of establishment are Amritsar, Lucknow, and Varanasi in the north; Ahmedabad, Surat, and Aurangabad in the west; Chennai, Coimbatore, Mangalore, Trichy, Trivandrum, Calicut, Madurai, and Vishakhapatnam in the south; Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Gaya, and Raipur in the east; and Guwahati in the north-east.
The high domestic air cargo tonnages notwithstanding, stakeholders have been raising issues that could retard the growth.
Meetings & Moves
In a recent move, DACAAI members President Suraj Agarwal, General Secretary Amit Bajaj, Secretary General Co.l R. P. Shukla, and Presiding Officer Arvind M. Nayak met the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr. Mahesh Sharma to apprise him about the growth of domestic cargo and the problems the sector was facing.
Speaking to ACNFT, Suraj Agarwal said: “There is a fantastic growth in air cargo. We don’t have proper infrastructure to handle this type of growth. The growth is much higher than the figures are showing but the growth is getting diverted to the other modes of transportation because we are not able to handle this growth properly.”
Highlighting the unplanned and ad hoc infrastructure available for air cargo stakeholders, it was pointed out that apart from the metro airports, airports operated by AAI had provided some facilities but they were not properly planned. At many places, these facilities are non-existent or being provided by individual airlines from their airport/city offices, which are scattered, resulting in waste of time and money, according to the DACAAI members.
Even at the metro airports, the infrastructure was not efficient enough to cater to the present tonnage and growth.
As a result, domestic air cargo handlers and airlines have been utilizing only 25 percent of their capacity.
On average, each aircraft has available capacity of around 2,500 kgs but today is only able to record 600 kgs per departure.
Some Further Study
To achieve efficiency in handling such large tonnages of domestic cargo, DACAAI conducted a study on the need for proper standard centralized domestic cargo facilities that was handed to the MoCA in October last year.
The study had recommended the creation of common terminals in 32 airports—where domestic air cargo has been witnessing rapid growth—in the first phase. “We would like the Ministry to utilize DACAAl’s experience in handling domestic air cargo,” said President Suraj Agarwal.
Consulting DACAAI before issuing policy guidelines could accomplish this.
One of the irksome issues was the multiple charges levied by different airport operators and the establishment of standard facilities, handling, and screening equipment, “so that investments by AAI and JV airports are utilized properly for trade facilitation.” Agarwal also mentioned that “the major hurdle is infrastructure and the cargo warehouses where we accept the cargo are not up to the mark.”
He acknowledged that the Civil Aviation Ministry had taken initiatives “but those are not enough to handle such type of growth.”
Taxing Situation
Forwarders also mentioned the heavy burden of service tax—14 percent—on domestic air cargo. General Secretary Amit Bajaj added that service tax was a major issue that needed to be addressed by the government.
“Service tax charged on air cargo is 14 percent while only 4.2 percent is charged on other modes of transport.
“On international cargo it is 0 percent.
“This heavy taxation inflates the cost of air freight and makes it uncompetitive as compared to train and road.”
He also pointed out the high terminal handling charges: in fact, the charges varied from airport to airport.
“There are charges by terminals on air freight.
“We are looking at the increasing charges that should go down,” Bajaj said.

Other Voices Needed
The trade body also demanded an independent ombudsman who could be approached for grievances, would highlighting issues like service levels by different providers, and sort out bottlenecks in handling domestic air cargo.
“A robust, exclusive, monitoring, consultation and redressal mechanism needs to be put in place.
“We would like the Ministry to give us a separate ombudsman,” said Agarwal.
For his part, Minister Dr. Sharma said that air cargo was one of the top priorities that his ministry was working on.
“We are working on how to increase the cargo business, how to ease this cargo business.
“Even after having everything, our share of cargo is very small just because charges are very high and there is poor infrastructure support.
“We are going to discuss this with the related ministers,” he said. He went on to emphasize: “we are committed towards addressing the problems of air cargo industry in a proper manner,” he said.

GRATITUDE IN EVERYTHING YOU DO

Hi friend,

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kindness that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

Behavioural and psychological research has shown that giving thanks makes people happier and more resilient, it strengthens relationships, it improves health, and it reduces stress.

Know why?
… Because without the state of Gratitude you will not be able to shift your focus from your limiting thoughts to the abundance that is already present in front of you.

But first, a MOVIE for You about
HOW A LITTLE CHILD AND AN ELDERLY MAN AGREE ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GRATITUDE!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
