On Sunday, disturbances occurred in Mhow, located in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, when stones were reportedly thrown at a gathering celebrating India's success in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, according to a report from news agency PTI that referenced local sources.
Ashish Singh, the Indore collector, mentioned that the situation is currently stabilized and that security forces have been dispatched to the scene, noting that the reasons behind the conflict would be investigated later.
"At this moment, the situation is managed," he stated.
A police representative indicated that a disagreement between two groups at the celebratory rally evolved into incidents of stone throwing and property damage.
"A rally was organized in Mhow to commemorate India's Champions Trophy win," deputy inspector general of police Nimish Agarwal informed PTI. He also mentioned that some individuals got into a dispute, which intensified and led to the outbreak of violence.
