Tulsi Gabbard Engages with NSA Ajit Doval in Delhi, Expected to Meet PM Modi
Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence for the United States, met with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Sunday, where they conducted extensive talks about various aspects of the relationship between India and the US.
Her visit to India is part of a broader tour across the Indo-Pacific region. During her stay, she is anticipated to confer with key government figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi—marking her second encounter with him since her appointment as DNI.
Gabbard is also set to give a keynote speech and participate in a question-and-answer session at the Raisina Dialogue, which is India’s premier conference focused on geopolitics, scheduled for March 18.
Previously, she mentioned that her trip’s objective is to enhance partnerships.
“I am embarking on a journey to the Indo-Pacific, a region I am quite familiar with, having spent my childhood in the Pacific. My itinerary includes stops in Japan, Thailand, and India, with a short visit to France on my way back to Washington, D.C.,” Gabbard shared on X.
This marks her inaugural trip to India since she took on the role of DNI during the second Trump term.
