"Nation will no longer be woke": US President Donald Trump in first address to Congress during his second term
The address, which marked his initial speech to Congress since being sworn in on January 20, follows the announcement of Donald Trump’s new tariffs affecting Mexico, Canada, and China.
"Our nation will no longer embrace wokeness," stated US President Donald Trump in his first Congressional speech after regaining office, further mentioning that hiring will focus on qualifications and capabilities.
"We hold the view that regardless of whether one is a physician, an accountant, or a flight controller, employment should rely on ability and qualifications, not on race or gender," Donald Trump expressed.
"Employment should be dictated by merit, and a significant ruling by the Supreme Court has permitted us to adopt this approach,” he remarked, emphasizing his directive that establishes “the official stance of the United States government to recognize only two genders - male and female.”
Donald Trump claimed responsibility for restoring “Free speech” in America, referencing his recent order declaring English as the official language of the United States and the renaming of the “Gulf of Mexico.”
