Terror attack in Reasi: Ambushed by terrorist gunfire, a 53-seater bus veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine in about 10 minutes Sunday at 6:15 pm.
At least 9 pilgrims, including a child, were killed and 33 other passengers injured when terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims from Shiv Koli cave temple to Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A 53-seater bus was ambushed by terrorists at around 6:15 pm Sunday when it veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine in about 10 minutes.
“A group of militants attacked a Yatri bus from Rangsu area of Reasi district, causing the bus driver to lose control and the bus fell into a deep ravine near Kanda area of Pawni. Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma said, "Nine people were killed and 33 injured in the incident."

1. President Drupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Ghulam Nabi Azad have condemned the heinous attack and expressed condolences for the loss of lives.
2. Terming the act a crime against humanity, President Murmu said: This heinous act is a crime against humanity and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. The nation stands with the families of the victims. We pray for a speedy recovery for the injured."
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reviewed the situation created by the terror attack and directed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to keep a constant watch on the situation and provide all possible assistance to the affected families.
