On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) validated the death of Hamas' Nukhba Platoon leader, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, due to a recent drone attack.
According to the IDF, Sabah was in charge of the offensive against Kibbutz Nir Oz during the massacre on October 7, 2023.
The commander of the Nukhba Platoon within Hamas' Western Khan Yunis Battalion was taken out in the Khan Younis region of southern Gaza, as stated by the IDF.
"Abd al-Hadi Sabah, a commander of the Nukhba Platoon in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion, was neutralized in a strike conducted based on intelligence by the IDF and ISA," the IDF posted on X.
They further remarked, "Abd al-Hadi Sabah--who operated from a shelter in the Humanitarian Area in Khan Younis--was among the key figures behind the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz during the deadly October 7 assault. Sabah also spearheaded and executed various terrorist operations against IDF forces throughout the ongoing conflict. The IDF and ISA will persist in their efforts against all individuals involved in the brutal October 7 Massacre."
Earlier on Tuesday, the IDF and Shin Bet reported the elimination of Anas Muhammad Saadi Masri, head of the northern sector of the rocket unit belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as confirmed by the IDF.
