A Saudia flight from Riyadh to Peshawar caught fire after landing at Peshawar airport in Pakistan on Thursday.
Air traffic controllers noticed fire and smoke on the left side of the landing gear while landing at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar.
Air traffic controllers notified the pilot and rescue teams shortly thereafter, and fire engines extinguished the blaze.
No casualties were reported from the incident, and authorities were able to safely evacuate all 276 passengers and 21 crew members on board. Video footage showed passengers using emergency slides to get off the plane. First aid was given to several passengers who suffered minor injuries, according to Samaa TV.
Saudia said in a statement that the plane was immediately stopped and the relevant authorities notified.
"Sadodia revealed that as aircraft SV792 landed in Peshawar from Riyadh, smoke was emitted from one of the tyres. The aircraft was immediately stopped and the relevant authorities notified. "All guests and crew were safely evacuated via emergency slides," ANI quoted Saudia as saying.
