  India has ratified an agreement with the United States for the purchase of 31 Predator drones. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) gave its approval for the acquisition of these drones last week. It has been confirmed by officials that India will be procuring these 31 Predator drones from General Atomics, a major defense company in the US, through a government-to-government arrangement.  The Indian Navy is set to receive 15 Sea Guardian drones, while both the Indian Air Force and Army will be allocated eight Sky Guardian drones each. As part of the ₹32000 crore deal, a maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility will also be established in India. The agreement was executed by both parties in the presence of high-ranking officials.
