Delhi police are investigating connection to Khalistani groups in the explosion near Rohini CRPF school
Delhi police are investigating a potential connection to Khalistani groups in the recent explosion near a CRPF school. The blast occurred in the national capital following a menacing post on social media. Following a powerful explosion that tore through the wall of a CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi on Sunday, a collaborative investigation was initiated to ascertain the cause of the blast and capture those responsible. A senior police officer mentioned that an investigation is underway to explore a potential connection to Khalistani groups in the explosion, as per PTI.
Though there were no injuries reported from the incident, the IED explosion damaged a school wall in Rohini and caused harm to adjacent shops and vehicles. According to a senior police officer, it is believed that the individuals responsible intended to communicate a message to the authorities. The Delhi Police are currently investigating a potential connection to Khalistani groups in relation to the blast, following reports on social media suggesting that the explosion was in response to alleged targeting of pro-Khalistan separatists by Indian operatives.
The explosive device, suspected to be an IED triggered through remote or timed activation and lacking harmful shrapnel, was likely placed during the late hours of Saturday. The explosion occurred between 7:35 and 7:40 am on Sunday, as reported by local residents. Later on Sunday evening, a purported screenshot of a Telegram post by Justice League India circulated on social media platforms. The post included a clip of the blast with a "Khalistan Zindabad" watermark at the bottom. "If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice, then they live in a fool's world." "They are unaware of our proximity and readiness to strike at any moment. #KhalistanZindabad #JLI," stated Justice League India in the accompanying post with the video clip.
