Israel retaliates against Hezbollah's attempted assassination of PM Netanyahu by striking Beirut and Gaza

Israel retaliates against Hezbollah's attempted assassination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by striking Beirut and Gaza. The Israeli forces targeted Hezbollah arms facilities in southern Beirut, with casualties still being evaluated. Netanyahu vows to exact a "heavy price" for the attack on his home in Caesarea. The strikes occurred in conjunction with reports from Gaza health officials stating that Israeli bombardments have resulted in the deaths of a minimum of 35 individuals, with restrictions intensifying around three hospitals.

These Israeli strikes are perceived as a response to an alleged Hezbollah assassination plot against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu involving a targeted drone attack near his vacation residence in Caesarea, northern Israel.
