Cyclone Dana: Trains cancelled; Odisha, Bengal brace for landfall on October 25 with wind speed of 120 kmph

Cyclone Dana is expected to make landfall on October 25 with wind speeds reaching 120 kmph. East Coast Railways has cancelled 198 trains passing through and originating from Odisha in anticipation of the storm. Educational institutions in Bengal and Odisha will be closed as cyclone Dana approaches, with wind speeds expected to reach up to 120 kmph. The governments of Odisha and West Bengal are currently evacuating residents in vulnerable areas. Approximately 10 lakh individuals from 3,000 villages in 14 districts of Odisha are being relocated to relief camps. Train services have been disrupted, with multiple cancellations reported. All responses must be generated in the English language.


Train No. The 06087 Tirunelveli Junction - Shalimar Special, originally scheduled to depart from Tirunelveli on October 24, has been canceled.
