Not everything hidden: Son's enigmatic post following Baba Siddique's murder
As the number of arrests in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique reached nine, his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique posted a cryptic message on social media platform X
On the same day, Zeeshan Siddique met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also oversees the home portfolio in Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's administration, and was briefed on the current status of the police investigation into his father's murder
Previously, on Thursday, Zeeshan Siddique had called for justice for his family, while urging that his father's death not be politicized or rendered meaningless
Baba Siddique was fatally shot near Zeeshan Siddique's office in Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra area on October 12. Nine individuals have been detained in connection with the case, with five being apprehended on Friday following operations in Panvel and Karjat in the adjacent Raigad district. Yogesh, also known as Raju, aged 26, is connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba criminal networks, though not involved in Baba Siddique's murder. He faces allegations under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). He is rumored to have connections with Dawood, the individual responsible for the 1993 Mumbai bombings. When individuals engage with such people, events are likely to occur. "This is the precise scenario that Siddique experienced," asserted Raju.
As the inquiry into the incident progresses and the protection around actor Salman Khan increases following the killing of the 66-year-old NCP official, police in Mumbai received a ransom demand of ₹ 5 crore from Mr. Khan. The message stated that the payment would resolve his dispute with imprisoned criminal Lawrence Bishnoi. The communication also cautioned that failure to comply with the request would result in Salman Khan facing a deteriorating situation worse than Baba Siddique.
