Prime Minister Modi has directed criticism towards the governments of Delhi and Bengal for their failure to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme, citing their political motivations as a hindrance to the well-being of elderly individuals within their jurisdictions. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the state governments in Delhi and West Bengal for not implementing the Centre's Ayushman Bharat scheme during the launch of healthcare development projects. He extended the government's health insurance scheme to senior citizens aged 70 and above, expressing regret that elderlies in Delhi and West Bengal are unable to benefit due to political reasons cited by their respective governments. Modi's statement, reported by ANI, conveyed his apology to elderly individuals above 70 in these states, elucidating that they will not be served under the scheme.
