Bomb alert Air India flight: Mumbai to New York flight receives bomb threat


 

A New York-bound flight carrying 239 passengers landed in Delhi after a security alert. Standard safety procedures are being implemented under the supervision of a senior police official. The Air India flight, originally destined for New York from Mumbai, was rerouted to Delhi due to a security issue. The flight, carrying 239 individuals, conducted an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. All passengers and crew members were safely evacuated.


"Flight AI119, which was en route from Mumbai to JFK on October 14, received a security alert and was diverted to Delhi as per the instructions of the government's security regulatory committee." An Air India spokesperson confirmed that all passengers have exited the aircraft and are currently located at the Delhi airport terminal. The aircraft was situated on a designated isolation runway at the airport, where security agencies, including a bomb squad team, performed comprehensive inspections. According to a senior police official, standard safety protocols are being adhered to in order to guarantee the safety of all individuals involved.
