Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday reviewed the security situation and readiness of troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. General Dwivedi, who served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Command from 2022 to 2024, has since returned to Jammu. He is expected to return to Delhi on Wednesday evening, it said. The Army Chief's visit to Jammu and Kashmir is significant in view of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra and counter-terrorism operations in the Jammu region to counter terrorist attempts to expand their operations in the region.
