As the controversy continues over the "abuse of power" of Probationary Officer of India Puja Khedkar of Management Class 2022, the central government has constituted a single-member committee to probe the case. According to officials, the committee will look into allegations related to her fake certificates and scrutiny during questioning. Moreover, their conduct during probation will be investigated by the IAS Academy.
Meanwhile, the Pune police on Thursday took action against Puja Khedkar and announced a probe against her for using flashing lights in her personal Audi car. Police officials also said action would be taken against the probationary officer under the Motor Vehicles Rules Act. Notably, a fine of Rs 21,000 has been imposed on the car used by Khedkar for non-observance of traffic rules.
A one-member Joint Chief Secretary Committee chaired by a senior official of the rank of Secretary to the Government of India will submit its investigation report within two weeks, a senior government source told News18.
Meanwhile, Pune Police on Thursday announced that they have initiated a case against Puja Khedkar and will launch an investigation into her for using traffic signals in her personal Audi car. Police officials further said action will be taken against the probationer under the Motor Vehicles Rules Act. Notably, a fine of Rs 21,000 has been imposed on the car used by Khedkar for non-observance of traffic rules.
