A special court on Saturday canceled the bail of a former minister of state who was arrested at the residence of his father, former Chief Minister HD Deve Gowda, in Bengaluru.
HD Revanna told reporters when he was taken to the Bowling Hospital in the state capital for medical examination on Sunday: "There are no allegations against me in my 40-year career in politics, as well as the special investigation team," The Indian Express quoted an unnamed official as saying. He also said he denied any wrongdoing when questioned by members.
Three years ago, the woman who worked in Revanna's house was allegedly kidnapped to prevent her from testifying against Prajwal Revanna. The first case was filed in Mysuru district on the complaint of the woman's son.
In his complaint, the man alleged that his mother was one of the women in the alleged sex video of Prajwal Revanna, which was released in late April. He said that on the night of the 29th, a man named Satish Babanna, a close aide of the Revana family, came to their house and forced his mother to accompany him.
