AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal claimed that she received death threats following a video posted by YouTuber Dhruv Rathee

on Sunday. She received rape and death threats after campaigning over "deadly behavior" by staff.

He said the situation escalated after YouTuber Dhruv Rathee posted a video against him.

"I received rape and death threats after leaders and volunteers of my political party (i.e. AAP) staged a campaign of murder, humiliation and fear of eviction against me. When YouTuber @Dhruv_Rathee reported that this situation worsened when external videos were made against her, Ms. Maliwal wrote on Sunday X' wrote on e (formerly Twitter)

Swati Maliwal accused the party leader of trying to intimidate her into withdrawing her complaint. She also expressed her disappointment, saying that Dhruv Rathee ignored her calls and messages despite her efforts to contact him and tell his story.

"It is a shame that someone who calls himself an independent journalist can pretend to be just another AAP journalist and an established person. Shame on me as I am now facing harassment and threats," he added. Ms. Maliwal listed a few points that she thought were neglected in Dhruv Rathee's 2.5-minute film:

What she said Dhruv Rathee did not mention: Why AAP is back on track layer ⁠MLC shows the damage caused by the attack; part of it was exposed and the accused's phone was established, the accused was arrested at the scene (CM House). Why was he allowed back in here? Tampering with evidence? How can a woman who has always faced trouble, who went to Manipur alone without security, be fined by the BJP?

Maliwal said, "The entire organization and its supporters are trying to shame me and talking a lot about their attack on women's issues, so I am reporting rape and death threats to @DelhiPolice."

He concluded his words by saying, "But if something happens to me, we know who did it." Maliwal said.
