Arvind Kejriwal has sought regular bail in the excise policy scam case and also seeks extension for medical examination. The Supreme Court has ordered his transfer on June 2, Kejriwal has suggested June 9. The ED has opposed the bail and said Kejriwal's active election campaigning is "healthy".

A Delhi court has sought opinion from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the bail application of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal. The Supreme Court of India has granted interim bail till June 1 to the Delhi Chief Minister in the Delhi liquor policy scam case.

On Thursday, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing before the ED, rejected Arvind Kejriwal's bail application on the grounds that the Delhi Chief Minister is "healthy" enough to campaign in Punjab for the respective Lok Sabha elections. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja had directed the central investigating agencies to file their reply to Arvind Kejriwal's application by Saturday. The court set the next date for hearing as June 1.

Arvind Kejriwal Arrest Case: Important News

- Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal has sought regular bail in the Delhi Customs Policy Scam case. He has also applied for seven-day interim bail on medical grounds.

- Kejriwal has sought an extension of his interim bail for seven days to undergo a series of medical tests, including a PET-CT scan, citing "high kidney ketone levels and sudden unexplained weight loss". Serious heart disease and even cancer.

- The AAP leader is granted bail till June 1 following the Supreme Court order directing him to surrender on June 2. In his latest application dated May 26, Arvind Kejriwal said he will surrender before the jail authorities on June 9 instead of June 2 as originally scheduled. - The ED has rejected Kejriwal's bail application and said, "He (Arvind Kejriwal) is not in custody. He is campaigning in Punjab today." His health condition did not hinder his election campaign. He has postponed the deposit till the last day and we have very little time. His behaviour does not entitle him to any order today.

- A Delhi court has sought ED's opinion on regular bail for Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to alleged tax evasion.

- A Delhi court has also sought ED's opinion on granting bail to CM Kejriwal on medical grounds in case regular bail is not applicable.

- The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday rejected a seven-day extension request for interim bail for Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case linked to Delhi's liquor policy.
