Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Voting for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra is currently taking place today (November 20). The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance aims to maintain power, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance seeks a strong comeback. The voting will continue until 6 pm on Wednesday. Extensive security measures have been put in place for the polling. A total of 4,136 candidates are participating in the intense competition, with 2,086 running as independents. Rebels are contesting in over 150 constituencies, with candidates from both the Mahayuti and MVA challenging their party's official nominees.

Supriya Sule, NCP-SCP MP from Baramati, has responded to the allegations of involvement in a crypto scam along with Nana Patole by filing a defamation and criminal case. She has issued a challenge to Sudhanshu Trivedi to ask her five questions simultaneously at a specified time, place, and platform of his choosing, emphasizing that the accusations are entirely baseless.
