A police officer in Canada has been suspended for attending a Khalistani protest outside a Hindu temple in Brampton. The officer, Harinder Sohi, was seen in a video holding a Khalistan flag while others at the protest chanted anti-India slogans, according to CBC News.

Sohi, who was a Sergeant with the Peel Regional Police, was suspended following the circulation of the video on social media. The police force confirmed this action and stated that they are investigating the situation before providing further details.

Previously, three individuals were charged after violence broke out during a visit by Indian consular officials to the Hindu Sabha Mandir temple on Sunday, as reported by Peel Regional Police.
