“Mysterious drone encounters are occurring across the nation. Is it truly possible that this is happening without our government's awareness? I doubt it! Inform the public, and do so immediately. If not, shoot them down!!! DJT,” Trump posted on Truth Social. 


Drone sightings raise alarms 

The instances of drone sightings have sparked alarm among legislators, with numerous officials expressing concern about potential threats posed by foes like Iran on American territory. Nevertheless, the Pentagon has refuted allegations that any foreign nation is responsible for the drones. The aerial phenomena were reported near military bases in New Jersey. In addition to Trump, several other Republican lawmakers have urged for the military to take action against the drones, including Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), Chris Smith (R-NJ), and Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). 


Luna, a distinguished veteran of the US Air Force, proposed that if the objects remain unidentified, there should be no justification for not bringing them down. “If an unidentified object breaches our airspace, a shoot-down command should be automatically issued — without any questions,” the congresswoman stated on social media.
