Trump Appoints Lebanese-American Entrepreneur Massad Boulos as Middle-East Consultant


On Sunday, US President-elect Donald Trump designated Lebanese-American entrepreneur Massad Boulos as his chief advisor concerning Arab and Middle Eastern issues, marking the latest instance of a family member being elevated to a vital role.

"I am delighted to share that Massad Boulos will take on the role of Senior Advisor to the President regarding Arab and Middle Eastern matters," Trump announced on Truth Social regarding the appointment, which positions the father-in-law of his daughter Tiffany in a prominent role within the White House.

Boulos played a crucial role as an envoy for the Trump campaign, facilitating the engagement of Arab American and Muslim voters, a significant number of whom were dissatisfied with the administration's stance on the Gaza conflict.

The entrepreneur is set to manage a challenging portfolio, as Israel's conflict continues in Gaza, a tenuous ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon has already seen early breaches, and rebel forces in Syria are making progress against Bashar al-Assad's regime.
