Trump claims Russia deserted Syria's President Bashar
On Sunday, Trump remarked that Russia's desertion of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad contributed to his downfall and added that Moscow should never have provided him protection in the first place, only to then lose interest because of a conflict in Ukraine that should never have begun.
“Assad is no longer. He has evacuated his country. His protector, Russia, Russia, Russia, under (President) Vladimir Putin, has shown no interest in safeguarding him anymore,” Trump expressed on his social media platform Truth Social.
