How many seats will BJP win in Lok Sabha polls? Top economist
As the Lok Sabha elections begin on April 19, a top economist has predicted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party could win 350 seats.
Economist Surjit Bhalla said in an interview to NDTV that the BJP can do better this time than in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
He said the Saffron Party will win 5 to 7 per cent more seats than the 2019 results. As for the
Congress party, economists say it could win 44 seats, 2 percent less than it won in the 2014 elections. Pointing out the party's "leadership" problem, Barra said, "The most important thing is business. Culture is the second. Both support the BJP. "I think it could be a Prime Ministerial race if the Opposition elects a leader with appeal or appeal close to half of PM Modi's appeal. Minister Modi is looking to enter his third term in office and with the alliance of All India Opposition - An Opposition parties forming against the Bharatiya Janata Party in the general elections, I think it could be a Prime Minister's race." Kejriwal and other opposition leaders were arrested.
