Sanctions On Our Soldiers Is A Red Line": Israel Hits Out At US Move
"Imposing sanctions on our soldiers is a red line": Israel criticized US move
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the US move to punish the Israel Defense Force (IDF) Neza Yehuda Battalion. Netanyahu said in a statement on Saturday night that "the West Bank' "Punishing Israeli soldiers who are involved in human rights violations against Palestinians is the height of irresponsibility and morality," he said.
Israeli leaders Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich also criticized the American movement, saying, "The Israeli government that I lead will use every means to combat these movements." Gvir stated that the military operation was a red line and that the action was very serious and that "Neza Yehuda members must be protected."
Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich published a statement on the social media platform X against America's plan to punish Netzach Yehuda. "It is outrageous to impose sanctions on IDF camps while Israel is fighting for its own survival. This is part of a planned move to force the State of Israel to establish a Palestinian state and give up Israel's security," he said.
