Nearly all ground forces have withdrawn from southern Gaza, Israeli officials said Sunday. This development comes nearly six months after the war ended and as Egypt prepares to host a new summit on the conflict. More than 33,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel declared war on Hamas last year. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tel Aviv would not accept the military group's tender request.

We are just one step away from victory. But the price we pay is pain and passion. There will be no war without the terrorists returning. "This will not happen," Netanyahu said in his speech in parliament on the sixth month of the war.
