In the Rajya Sabha, BJP member Sudhanshu Trivedi claimed that there was a coordinated endeavor by “foreign entities” to undermine the Viksit Bharat (developed India) mission. 

A political uproar arose on Thursday when one Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator tried to connect billionaire George Soros with Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, while another referred to him as a “traitor,” prompting protests from the Congress party.

Earlier in the day, Congress leaders donned stickers alleging a connection between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Adani Group both inside and outside Parliament. Gandhi also affixed a sticker to his T-shirt reading “Modi, Adani Ek Hain (Modi, Adani are the same).” An irritated Speaker Om Birla reminded the Congress MPs that only the Tricolour is permitted to be added to the outfits of members. 

Dubey sought to shift the focus onto the Congress. During his Zero Hour remarks, he made numerous accusations claiming that the Congress was collaborating with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), a global media initiative supported by Soros’s Open Society Foundation, and was attempting to disrupt parliamentary proceedings and subvert the government. He also posed 10 questions to Gandhi. 

Independently, BJP Lok Sabha MP Sambit Patra asserted that Gandhi was involved in a “triangle” with Soros and the OCCRP, intended to destabilize India.


“We are here to discuss this perilous triangle that is attempting to destabilize India. On one vertex of this triangle is George Soros from the United States, alongside certain American agencies; on another vertex lies a prominent news portal known as OCCRP... and the final, and most crucial, point of this triangle is Rahul Gandhi, who is a traitor of the highest caliber. I’m not afraid to utter this term...
